RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BAWEN:
Speed restriction signs at 1km spacing's along NH 14
from Semarang to Bawen
Alter overhead gantry sign 500m north of junction –
show Solo in left lane, Yogya in right lane only
Make the Y junction more conspicuous
Renew advanced direction signs on each approach to show
the diagrammatic layout of the intersection.
Re line mark each approach.
On north approach, mark two lanes – the left lane for through
traffic only, and the right lane for right turn only.
Pavement arrows – 3 pairs – on each approach
Install plastic bollards for 35m along the northern centre line
to control wrong way movements
