Emerald Dreams Crescent Scarf By Susan Santos for Blazing Star Ranch Yarn Along The Rockies 2016 Construction Notes: This scarf is knitted side to side. The pattern contains both charted and written instructions for the lace edging. There are three main sections: Increase, Even, and Decrease. After the Setup Section, you will create increases in the seed stitch portion of the scarf while you work the lace edging. The Even Section is worked as for the Increase Section, without the increases. In order to keep in seed stitch pattern, work the appropriate decrease stitch in the Decrease Section: work seed stitch until three stitches before the marker. If the third stitch from the marker is to be knitted, purl the next 2 stitches together. If the third stitch from the marker is to be purled, knit the next two stitches together. Beads would be a gorgeous addition to the scarf edging! Using the crochet hook method, place a bead at the beginning of each row 6 of the lace edging. Seed Stitch Row 1: K, *p, k. Repeat from * to end. Row 2: Repeat row 1. In other words, you purl the knits, and knit the purls. Simple! Experience Level: Intermediate; with assistance, Adventurous Advanced Beginners Finished Measurements: Scarf body: 10"/25cm deep, 46"/117cm tip to tip. Lace edging: 3"/7.5cm wide Gauge: 24 sts and 34 rows to 4" / 10cm While gauge is not crucial for the fit of this garment, if your gauge is off you may run out of yarn. About Blazing Star Ranch

Blazing Star Ranch is a yarn and fiber store and small alpaca farm in Colorado that began in January 2010. We started with 2 alpacas and now total 28. Six years into the business, we are seeing the fruits of our breeding decisions. We'd like to help you with yours.

Our yarn and fiber store opened inside Anderson's Vacuums in the late fall of 2012. We carry Majacraft, Ashford, Spinolution, Schacht, and National Custom Spinning Works spinning wheels and a variety of natural fibers, yarns, and the tools to work with them. Small looms are available from Ashford, Schacht and Majacraft. Yarns include Misti Alpaca,Noro, Happy Fuzzy Yarns, Wonderland Yarns, Done Roving, MJ Yarns, and many more. We're open Mon - Sat 10 - 6 and Sundays 10 - 2. I am usually in the store Tuesday - Thursday 11 - 5 and Saturdays after noon. Mondays and Fridays I'm out with the alpacas.
