3 PRESENTATION OF AKMI
During the YouCareOn Project week, the participants could join a variety of workshops and
presentations. The presentations of the days Tuesday to Friday are not available since the
professors and in-company trainers would not like to publish them.
After the Transnational Project meeting, AKMI and the Lead Partner, CIT GmbH welcomed
the participants of the blended mobility. Afterwards, the first step was to learn more general
facts about AKMI. Mr. Andreas Pallis presented us the most important facts:

4 DISCUSSION/FEEDBACK
The participants were very impressed by AKMI career orientation and its different
learning methods and the variety of hands-on training opportunities available to
learners.
The learner recognized that AKMIs career orientation are one of the most qualitative,
but just available for students of the private sector. Therefore, they missed to see
the career orientation in the public sector.

5 EVALUATION
Evaluation BM2 C3 + C4
1. Organisation
How satisfied were you with the mobility in terms of
…the time frame 2,53 satisfied
…the organisation (breaks/catering/as-
sistance) 2,36 very satisfied
…the premises of the meeting facility (f.
ex. Technology) 2,21 very satisfied
Remarks
In the agenda was written "workshops", there were no workshops only lecture with no or less possi-
bility for exchange
To b) there was no water or coffee at the meeting rooms, every morning we had to wait many more
minutes (after schedule) to the start of the meetings or to occupy a room, feels like unwelcome
Amazing structures and organisations. Very convenient timeframe.
Everything was perfect
No possibility to discuss together because it was like a classroom not a round table.
Partners have to be aware that at least half of their delegation have to be present in all activities. At
Tuesday in the afternoon Spanish and German delegation were there. Italy just 1 person and no
Latvians. This is not acceptable.
Very nice people but sometimes things were not on time.
I liked AKMI as one possible location to visit, but not for every day. The organisation in general was
not good either. I received the agenda only one day in advance.
Time could have been used more efficiently. However, I especially liked your hospitality and the ca-
tering. Thanks for that.
Everything was on schedule.
Well-arranged meeting. Thank You.
2. Content
How satisfied were you with the mobility in terms of
…the selection of topics 2,78 satisfied
…the information content of the topics 2,63 satisfied
…receiving suggestions or insights 2,72 satisfied
…the possibility to discuss 2,33 very satisfied
Remarks
The agenda/topics were interesting BUT weren't the topic of the project unfortunately, less possibili-
ties for networking, half of the participants didn't take part in the workshops after lunch because they
left the event

to e) it should be an exchange of good practices for developing youngsters/students in the areas:
gastronomy, hospitality, applied science. The 1st and 2nd topics were more than presenting. Ap-
plied science was cancelled without a vote, the president of the UNESCO was absent, and the olive
oil workshop was cancelled. And a speech from a restaurant critic is absolutely not interesting for
this kind of exchange.
Some speakers were too specific in their speech, nevertheless it was good listening all of them. I
received plenty of insights both from the speakers and from the discussion.
No content to early stage career orientation, no public school topics.
Some topics were very interesting but they were pretty much related to business management than
career orientation. The work and initiatives of AKMI are very impressive. Congratulations.
I love the Tuesday talks.
I felt like the actual workshops were off topic. I learned almost nothing about early job orientation.
Friday was more like student's lectures. The topics actually worked on were mostly different from
the agenda.
Regarding the topic, I missed an explanation of school system beforehand. It would have been also
nice to talks to some students. Do their interests match with the content of curricula? What happens
to students who are not interested in the hotel industry? How does early stage career orientation
take place here?
Very good environment for discussion.
Very nice discussions.
What content has been missing from your perspective?
Career and job orientation
Applied science like entered in the schedule
Information for motivation young people to begin an apprenticeship from the other countries take
ideas for my job (examples from the other countries)
The real relationship between the providing service to guests and the level of hotel and restaurant,
when it is low.
May be, I do not know, the perspective of a young person who already did the course from for-
mation to employment.
Everything was good content wise.
No discussion with regional Greek partners, because there are not regional partners only AKMI.
What is the reality for normal pupils to get some information for professions?
Career orientation and employment integration outside of AKMI, public institutions for instance.
More information about career orientation.
Complete information regarding early job orientation, visit/information local public schools.
More information about career perspectives and career management could be useful for some of
the sessions.
The content very well reflected the project's meetings.
There was nothing missing
What kind of important information/topics/suggestions could you take away from the mobil-
ity? What was the benefit of the mobility?
The Acropolis,
Andreas was very nice and interested in the other countries and participants
As usual, start-up information and best practices
The knowledge of different types of making tourism and the sharing new ideas about it.
Exchange perspectives and insights with people of different countries.

Compendium Blended Mobility 2 20
Possibility to learn and exchange.
Some information about other forms of education for profession.
There are many outputs of labour integration of tourism sector that can be applied in other coun-
tries.
Meeting different people, different perspectives.
Meeting people from other companies, countries, backgrounds.
Possibility to see good practices from other places and to network, and exchange information.
Personal contacts.
To share ideas, discover new cultures and exchange educational practices.
Learning of good practices.
3. Result
How satisfied were you with the
meeting overall? 2,72 satisfied
Unfortunately, I was less satisfied. The career and job orientation was missing most of the time and
approx. The half of the group wasn't motivated to learn from each other, they failed the workshops
and went for sightseeing and shopping
The partners from the other countries do not recognize the importance of this exchange. They were
most of time absence. For the participants it was looking pretty bad and not interested. The sched-
ule for the whole week was not similar with the daily schedule. As a participant, it felt like not really
welcome. It felt like not to want to teach or to discuss with the participants. The partners from the
other countries do not want to go to a restaurant after a workshop day. This was pretty sad, be-
cause there was no platform for an exchange.
We was not so interested about hotel careers and housekeeping but the meeting was very interest-
ing.
Thank You.
Sharing of experiences
Thank You AKMI and its team for the interesting experience and the warm reception.
The guide Andreas did a good job guiding us, but the overall organisation might need some empow-
erment, especially the choice of workshops regarding the stated topics of early job orientation.
Thank You for the organisation.
The project is presenting success up to now.
Great experience.

6.1 EXPERIENCE REPORT OF CIT GMBH
Exchange of Experience in Athens (Greece)
In the period from the 22nd to 26th October 2018, the second exchange of experience took
place in the capital of Greece, in Athens. The aim of the exchange was to get to know best
practices on the topic of early professional orientation for careers in the industries
“Tourism and Catering” and “Applied Arts”.
On Monday, the host of the project week, AKMI Educational Organization SA (Greece),
welcomed together with the project coordinator, the Centrum for Innovation and Technol-
ogy Ltd., all the other project partners and mobility participants who came from Spain, Italy,
Germany and Latvia. AKMI represents almost 55% of the total private VET sector in Greece,
making it the leading Vocational Education and Training Institute. First, we got an overview
of the various tasks of AKMI and what we would expect in the rest of the project week.
Among the interested participants were teachers, career adviser, start-up adviser or ad-
viser for long-term unemployed people as well as heads of HR and trainees of larger
companies of the participating partner countries. Everyone was full of expectations of what
they would learn from AKMI´s best practices this week.
At the beginning of the second project day, the attendees had the chance to see the impressive
and brand new AKMI "Metropolitan College". Thanks to the state-of-the-art technology
and a strong involvement of the practice, the students receive in small groups the ideal
opportunity to prepare themselves for their later professional life. Afterwards we had interesting
workshops and presentations on the topics "The Hospitality Industry in turbulent times",
"Career hunting in hospitality" or " New Business models in the hotel industry: Issues
and Challenges".
The following day the project participants had the opportunity to get to know the premises of
the AKMI vocational training institute. The participants were amazed about the different
learning methods and the variety of hands-on training opportunities available to learners.
In addition to detailed recreated 5-star hotel rooms or a classroom with an integrated bar for
practicing for prospective professionals in the hotel and catering industry, the participants saw
confectionary art and the highly modern kitchen, in which the students were busy.
This was followed by a presentation of AKMI methodology on career orientation and cur-
rent trends and interesting workshops on topics such as "Creative and Cultural Industry in
Greece and Career Opportunities", "Skills in public speaking" or "Education in times of
crisis".
However, the highlight was the study visit to the Titania Hotel in Athens on Wednesday.
There the participants could find out which practical challenges await future professionals in

the hotel and catering industry and that they have to be real organizational and multi-tal-
ented people. We also had the opportunity to meet some young hotel professionals, which
completed their training at AKMI SA and thus found the optimal career entry.
Following a very exciting last workshop on "Coaching Methods & Empowerment of People",
the participants once again had the chance to reflect on the project week. At the end of the
project week all mobility participants agreed that it was a very exhausting, eventful but also
educational week. Therefore, we would like to thank our project partner, the AKMI Educational
Organization SA.
