EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Every third Thursday of the month What is Eucharistic Adoration?

We believe that the bread and wine we consecrate at Mass through the ministry of the priest become truly the Body and Blood of Christ. During the Consecration of the Mass, the priest speaks these words during the Eucharistic Prayer: "TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT, FOR THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU; TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT, FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT, WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME." Hold this moment of the Mass in time; come to see that it presents a great oppor-tunity for spiritual intimacy with the Lord. Our adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, calls us to spend time in the presence of the Lord as we watch and wait, allowing the power of Christ to transform us. Everyone is invited to come spend some time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. We will have the Eucharistic Adoration in the church on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. followed by Mass. Sign up lists are available at the doors of the church. Please join us in prayer and worship!

OUTDOOR EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION SUNDAY, JUNE 18, 2017

10:00 A.M. MASS

N ext Sunday on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) which is our parish feast, we will have the outdoor Eucharistic Procession. We will go in procession around the church visiting four altars each representing the preaching of the four Gos-pels to the four corners of the world. Everyone is invited to profess publicly our faith in Jesus’ real presence in the Holy Eucharist.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT. . . . . . A QUESTION OF FAITH It is never a question with any of us of faith or no faith; the question always is, “In what or in whom do I put my faith?” —Anonymous . . . PRAYER They pray best who do not know that they are praying. —St. Anthony of Padua
