This device is intended to be used as an illumination effect. Use the device only as described inthis user manual. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to beimproper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed fordamages resulting from improper use.
This device may be used only by persons with sufficient physical, sensorial, and intellectualabilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons may use thisdevice only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is responsible for their safety.
DANGER!Dangerous voltagesThe rewiring, exchanging of light bulbs and general electrical maintenance of thisproduct should only be carried out by electrical specialists. Failure to follow thesesafety precautions can result in electric shock, fire and/or death.
The product must be switched off and de-energised (mains plug / power supplydisconnected) before carrying out any maintenance / repair work.

There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
Do not use the device if covers, protectors or optical components are missing ordamaged.
DANGER!Danger for childrenEnsure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are notwithin reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard!
Ensure that children do not detach any small parts (e.g. knobs or the like) fromthe unit. They could swallow the pieces and choke!

Always ensure sufficient ventilation.
The ambient temperature must always be below 40 °C (104 °F).

NOTICE!Operating conditionsThis device has been designed for indoor use only. To prevent damage, neverexpose the device to any liquid or moisture. Avoid direct sunlight, heavy dirt, andstrong vibrations.
NOTICE!Power supplyBefore connecting the device, ensure that the input voltage (AC outlet) matchesthe voltage rating of the device and that the AC outlet is protected by a residualcurrent circuit breaker. Failure to do so could result in damage to the device andpossibly injure the user.
Unplug the device before electrical storms occur and when it is unused for longperiods of time to reduce the risk of electric shock or fire.

3 Features
The blinder is particularly suitable for the illumination of areas and specific lighting effects inthe auditorium at events, rock concerts as well as in theatres and musicals.
Special features of this device:
n Two rotatable elements with shatter protection for 2 × 2 DWE illuminants(illuminants not included)
n Double round-tube bracket for secure and solid mounting.n Cable set included.

4 Installation
Unpack and carefully check that there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keepthe equipment packaging. To fully protect the device against vibration, dust and moistureduring transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging materialsuitable for transport or storage, respectively.
WARNING!Risk of injury caused by falling objectsMake sure that the installation complies with the standards and rules that applyin your country. Always secure the device with a secondary safety attachment,such as a safety cable or a safety chain.

NOTICE!ÜberhitzungsgefahrDer Abstand zwischen der Lichtquelle und der beleuchteten Fläche muss größerals 2 m sein.
Sorgen Sie stets für ausreichende Belüftung.
Die Umgebungstemperatur muss immer unter 40 °C liegen.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät niemals länger als 15 Minuten durchgehend und haltenSie entsprechende Abkühlzeiten ein.
Sie können das Gerät hängend oder stehend installieren. Die Befestigung während desGebrauchs muss immer auf einer festen Oberfläche oder an einem dafür zugelassenen Trägererfolgen. Benutzen Sie zur Befestigung die dafür vorgesehenen Öffnungen des Bügels.
Arbeiten Sie immer von einer stabilen Plattform aus, wenn Sie das Gerät installieren, bewegenoder Wartungsarbeiten daran durchführen. Dabei muss der Bereich unterhalb des Gerätsabgesperrt sein.
Das Sicherheitsfangseil muss am Bügel befestigt werden.

5 Wiring

The product must be switched off and de-energised (mains plug / power supplydisconnected) before carrying out any maintenance / repair work.
n Remove the shatter protection grilles of the illuminant elements (4 × 2 knurled-headscrews with locking spring).
n Remove the cable compartment cover on the rear panel of the unit (six tapping screws).n Run the cables provided through the two holes inside the housing.n Wire the Illuminants according to the following diagram.n Finally, assemble the cable cover on the rear panel of the unit and the shatter protection
grilles of the illuminant elements.

6 Starting up
Make sure that the unit is properly installed and wired. Fix the lamp holders in the desiredposition using the hand screws. Connect the power cable to a grounded outlet to start up theunit.
NOTICE!Risk of overheatingNever operate the unit for more than 15 minutes continuously and stick to appro‐priate cool-down times.

8 Cleaning
Clean the unit only with a soft, dry cloth. More stubborn stains can be cleaned with a slightlydamp cloth. Never use cleaners such as alcohol or thinner.

10 Protecting the environment
For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have beenchosen that can be supplied to normal recycling.
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are properly disposed of.
