Principal's Message

Senior Vice President – Pilar Van Heerden
Junior Vice President – Karma Kamphuis
Secretary – Hayley Crichlow
Treasurer – Sandy Doolin
Canteen Co-ordinator/Treasurer – Jayde Gardiner
Both myself and the school staff look forward to a close, collaborative and productive working relationship with the new committee that will benefit student learning for all our students.Thank you to the outgoing committee. It has been such a pleasure to work with you. As a small, rural and remote school, the role of the P&C in the day-to-day operations of the school is an invaluable one. I say with great confidence, I am not sure what we would do without your ongoing support. The next P&C meeting will be held on Tuesday 8 May at 1pm and I would encourage as many parents as possible to attend the meeting.Easter Hat Parade
Thank you to all the parents who participated in this week’s Easter Hat Parade. The students derived great enjoyment from making their hats and even more enjoyment from being able to present them at the parade. Thank you also to
Mrs Bush and those willing parents who assisted in the orchestration of the Easter Egg Hunt. Please visit the school’s facebook page for more photos of this fun filled event.
Local Excursions
A note has was distributed to all families this week seeking authority to undertake local school excursions. This will enable us to explore our local community by foot to support learning that occurs in the classroom. It is particularly relevant to subjects such as History which examines topics such as the past and the present, with an emphasis on how the way we live has changed over time.
Reading Eggs
Reading Eggs is a learning program designed to support the development of reading skills. It has been purchased by the school and is now being used across both classrooms to support individual literacy learning needs. All students have their own login details that can be used to access their personalised learning program at home. Be sure to ask your children about this great program.
School Safety
To keep our students safe at all times could you please ensure that when entering and exiting our school grounds you close the gate behind you. We are looking into the purchase of some spring-loaded self closing safety gates to further support school safety and will soon have some new signs reminding visitors to "Please close the gates".
