As you can see, our Christmas/Holiday Dinner and Installation of SICBA’s 2020 Leadership was a lot of fun. Incoming BIAW President, Sherry Schwab of MBA King/Snohomish came and did the honors. We were able to recognize the things members have done throughout the year and even had a fun game where members from each table got to come up and try and be the first to ring a bell and name a Christmas song in the same way of the old Television Show, “Name That Tune.” This was also the night that SICBA was giving away $1979 to the lucky person who faithfully registered online, paid online and showed up to the events throughout the year. The lucky winner was Janis Taylor and you can tell by her picture she isn’t too happy?!! If SICBA Member Hearth and Home had attended, they would have won the Membership Bonus Draw of $1125. Unfortunately the pot will grow another $50 for the January event. The lucky winner of the Retention Drawing was
Bradford Building Company who got a free dinner at our January event. We will have details of our January event at the private home of John Piazza Jr Construction and Remodeling Inc in our March edition of BuildingBlocks.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Events Committee Chair is Kim Piazza Hello SICBA members this will be my last events report as Chair of the Events Committee. Someone, I am not sure who, will be the new Events Committee Chair! Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to the January member mixer at our home. We had an amazing turnout and hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we enjoyed hosting. A big thank you to everyone who attempted to come :). Congratulations to Barry Harter who won the Bonus Draw worth $1175! It pays to show up at the meetings as you must be present to win this drawing. The next member mixer will be held at Sound Cedar on February 11th. Unfortunately, I will miss this meeting due to prearranged travel plans, but I know everyone will have an amazing time and Curtis Banta who will be filling in for me will no doubt do an outstanding job! Thank you Curtis. So DON'T miss this fun event. Go to SICBA.org to register and pay online. Membership Committee Chair: Kathy Sanchez Are you wondering what all the “hype” is with SICBA Membership?!! Well, the Membership Committee has been super busy planning for one of our best years, yet! First off, we are steadfast on our goal to achieve 500 members! Our primary goal in achieving 500-member status, would be to recruit quality members who will find value in all that SICBA has to offer! Just as important as reaching our goal of 500, we would like to see our members renew year after year! Please ask your recruits what they would like to get out of their SICBA Membership! We want to align what they perceive as value with what SICBA can offer! Please remember to invite your recruits to the Member Mixers. Offer to meet them there and take them around and introduce them! We encourage all members, new and existing to attend networking, learning, state and national events, and more to get the most value! Please encourage your new recruits to join a committee! There is no faster way to get involved and meet great people, while helping in a way you feel most passionately about! Membership committee is also focusing on putting together an awesome spring event, which will also be the event to reward our Spikes! We are considering ideas and would appreciate hearing from all the Spikes out there, as to what you would like! Our first Quarterly New Member Orientation will be on March 26 prior to the Home & Garden Show Kick-off. The remaining three New Member Orientations will be on June 3rd (the only breakfast meeting at the SICBA office), and August 18th and November 17th, to be held just prior to the Member Mixer on those dates. We hope that with having the Member Mixer following the New Member Orientation, we will see a great turn out with new members attending, and it will also be free for them, as a first time attendee! February is Builder Appreciation Month, and all our builder members are invited to enjoy the February Member Mixer for free! Please be sure to go online and register, and as a Builder member, reserve your spot and claim your free ticket to attend the February Member Mixer! As you all prepare for the Home & Garden show this spring, we hope you will plan to stop by our newly designed Membership booth! We plan to have something new! See you there!
