APPLICATION: The BND Institute Summer Media Camp 2020 @ Virginia Union University The two-week BND Institute Summer Media Camp 2020 will allow students in grades 8 to 12 the chance to discover visual technology as they learn to tell their stories in creative and engaging ways. The program will be led by Bonnie Newman Davis, a journalist and executive director of the BND Institute of Media and Culture, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides programs, services and training dedicated to educating and engaging diverse audiences about contemporary news media and its impact on African-American life and culture. In addition to Ms. Newman Davis, several professional media writers, editors, producers, photographers and videographers will assist in the program. Additional program activities will further enhance the student-learning experience! Lunch, snacks and refreshments will be provided at no extra cost. June 15 – 26, 2020 | Monday – Friday 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. All classes will be in the Department of Mass Communications at Virginia Union University, 1500 Lombardy St., Richmond, Va. The cost is $120 for two weeks. Limited Scholarship are Available! Snacks, lunch and beverages are included for most days.
