It can be easily integrated into the machine. The eDA software solution provides a graphical interface in combination with BODAS- service including useful application hints for a guided commissioning. A well-structured step-by-step optimization of the drivetrain is assured. Algorithms based on the component physics determine majority of parameters and reduce complexity during commissioning. Modular software concept for efficient customer-specific adaptions The clear software structure is open and facilitates efficient customer-specific adaptions. In combination with the wide Rexroth portfolio of pumps, motors and BODAS RC controllers, BODAS-drive eDA is fully scalable. Each operating device can either be hard-wired to the Rexroth controller or it provides the signal via CAN. The BODAS-drive using the standard functions of BODAS-drive eDA, no further programming and software engineering is necessary CAN protocol is based on J1939 standard. In the field of hydrostatic drivetrains, the most important demands are still performance and efficiency. Efficiency doesn’t only mean fuel consumption, but also the easy customization of solutions to the special needs on machine- level and the easy integration of new features, facing faster changing market demands and legal requirements. Application engineering tools and optional engineering services enable an efficient customization.

Integrated safety functions according to EN ISO 13849BODAS-drive eDA represents a so called “Safety Element out of Context”. That means, the software is developed using a generic approach and ready-to-use safety functions according to the standard EN ISO 13849 are part of it. A sophisticated software monitor separates standard functions from safety functions, allows independency when it comes to modifications and reduces the verification and validation effort. Thus BODAS-drive eDA can be a big step towards making machines safe in an efficient way.

ENTRY-version for simplicity and full drive performanceTraditional hydraulic DA solutions can be upgraded to BODAS-drive eDA easily just in a few steps. The ENTRY-version offers already the full drive performance interfacing a mechanically controlled engine and additional comfort features like creeping, different drive modes or a basic ECOdrive.

PREMIUM-version for rich functionalityThe PREMIUM-version deploys its full potential in combination with an electronified diesel engine with CAN J1939 communication interface and sets actively the target engine speed. The integrated Rexroth Diesel Hydraulic Control (DHC) ECOdrive reduces fuel consumption up to 20% percent and provides still full power on demand.An electronic hand throttle in combination with the creep feature supports the machine operator in working tasks whenever a constant engine speed at fully variable vehicle velocity is required. A smart diagnostic lamp allows easy diagnostics via smart devices.In combination with fully electronified hydraulics, like the new generation of drive pumps A4VG and drive motors A6VM, BODAS-drive eDA assures a safe, efficient and powerful machine operation.
