BodrumOur course is set for Bodrum and its meandering coastline. With picture-perfect house fronts, a medieval castle and calm waters, it really is a jewel in theAegan's crown. Ship docked, no water sports.

Day 2 - SundayDidyma

The sanctuary of Apollo, site of the oracle, rivalled that of Delphi. The enormous temple gives an idea of what the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, one ofthe 7 wonders of the world, might have been like. Ship at anchor. Water sports.

Day 3 - MondaySamos

Covered with vegetation where rivers flow through, the island showcases its natural charms. Numerous remains bear witness to its impressive past andits attractive villages are adorned in traditional colours. Ship at anchor, water sports available.

Day 4 - TuesdayPatmos

The Monastery of Saint John the Theologian, founded in 1088, is the most famous sight on Patmos. This island paradise also has long sandy beachesand picturesque villages, with houses in the traditional Dodecanese style. Ship at anchor, water sports available.

The sweetness of its orchards and its still authentic villages captivate the senses. Its white marble quarries have given life to remarkable statues datingback to antiquity and ensured its prosperity. Ship at anchor. Water sports.

Excursions of your cruise

Day 2 - Sunday Didyme / Priène, Milet and

Didyme (1/2 day) *

Head off to explore three exceptional archaeological sites, starting with Priene, one of the most beautiful cities of ancient times, with its two ports, stunningand wonderfully preserved Greek theatre and paved streets. Then head for Miletus, whose two ports made it the most powerful commercial city of the 12cities in the Ionian League. Lastly, you will visit the Temple of Apollo in Didyma, which remains vast despite the destruction of a major part of itscolonnade. The ensemble is one of the most impressive in ancient Greece.

Day 2 - Sunday Didyma / Ephesus and

Sirince (1 day) *

Until the port silted up, forever separating the city from the sea, Ephesus was the most important trading centre in the ancient world. Amongst its treasureswas the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the world. It reached its height during the Roman period, and erected many monuments befittingits importance. But Ephesus has not lain in obscurity since antiquity. Christians went on to build one of their most beautiful basilicas there, and Muslimsbuilt a grand mosque. The remains of this illustrious and exceptionally well-preserved city are so lifelike that it takes little imagination to see what dailyexistence was like. Visit the archaeological site and the museum, then have lunch in Sirince, a traditional little village nestled among the hills, where youcan wander for half an hour before your return.

Day 4 - Tuesday Patmos (1/2 day, morning)

The Jerusalem of the Aegean! Between Skala and Chora, see the sacred cave where St John is thought to have described his vision of the apocalypse.Then visit the St John monastery and museum in Chora. Founded in 1088, the monastery was a real Medieval fortress, and the museum contains afragment of St Mark's gospel.

Day 5 - Wednesday Paros / Island tour (1/2

day, morning) *

On this island tour, you will discover the two key towns on Paros: Naoussa and Parikia. Naoussa is a little fishing port filled with charming narrow streets,nestled in the middle of a dramatic bay. In Parikia, the island's capital, the winding streets and bright white buildings will soon have you under their spell.The stunning Byzantine Panagia Katapoliani, or the Church of a Hundred Doors, is a miniature Hagia Sophia, built in the 6th century.

Day 6 - Thursday Sifnos - Island tour (1 half

day) *

1/2 day. Transfer by bus and visit on foot Discover the most authentic of the Cyclades Islands, including Chrisopigi with its monastery perched on therocks, and two magnificent villages. Exceptional views - not to be missed! For information: Visit of a pottery included in the excursion. The monasteriesmay be closed.

Day 7 - Friday Syros - Syros of yesterday

and today (1/2 day) *

Explore Syros and get a taste of life in the Cyclades. You will begin by visiting Ano Syros, the island's Catholic bastion with the Church of Saint Georgeand the ancient Jesuit and Capuchin monasteries. Next, you will head off to discover the island's capital Ermoupoli and its neoclassical architecturalheritage: the Apollo Theatre, the miniature replica of Milan's La Scala, the City Hall, the Vaporia quarter where the sea captains traditionally lived, thechurch of the Virgin where an icon by El Greco is exhibited. Lastly, you will visit a Turkish delight and nougat factory, specialities of the island.
