BODY & SOUL OK: Most people know you from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but you also started a successful business as an accountability coach. Can you tell us a little bit about “All In by Teddi”? TMA: My business actually came from an Instagram I created to track different workouts, write reviews and keep myself accountable. As I posted more and more, friends and new followers started telling me how I was inspiring them. That was an “Aha!” moment. OK: What do you think is the best type of workout to keep the body lean and mean? TMA: Eighty percent of it is food, but for me it’s also cardio: walking, spinning and Rise Nation [a climbing class]. I love jogging. Being outside clears my head! OK: How oſten do you let yourself give in to cravings? And what’s your favorite cheat food? TMA: Allowing myself a day of cheating is a tricky path, so I’ll just do a cheat meal — but I’ll still keep it healthy. If you’re going to have carbs, make them brown rice or Dave’s Killer Bread. If you’re going to drink alcohol, skip dessert. It’s one or the other. If you’re craving a burger, skip the bun. Sweet potato fries instead of regular. You get the picture. OK: Gives us an example of what you eat daily? TMA: Oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast; arugula, brown rice, veggies and lime juice as salad dressing for lunch; chicken or fish for dinner with a side of green veggies; and two snacks throughout the day. OK: Snacking can make or break a diet. What are your favorite munchies? TMA: Apples, avocados, unsalted cashews, chopped peppers, cucumbers with lime juice and frozen grapes, to name a few. OK: What’s your go-to workout gadget? TMA: I use the Nike + Run Club app because I never forget my phone and it tracks my runs from there. OK: Top 5 songs in your workout playlist — go! TMA: “No Tears Leſt to Cry” by Ariana Grande; “Solo” by Clean Bandit featuring Demi Lovato; “Jump" by Julia Michaels; “I Wanna Know” by NOTD; and anything by Cardi B. OK: What’s your favorite workout wear? TMA: Electric & Rose are my favorites because they’re comfy, cute and don’t slide down. TMA: I remind them of the difference between being motivated and committed. Motivation wavers; commitment to yourself does not. I also remind them that they are worth it! OK: What about a calorie tracker? TMA: I don’t track calories.
