Dear Mary Ellen, Welcome to November! Winter is nearly upon us. Here is what you need to know for this month as an American Boer Goat Association™ member. National FFA Convention The 87th annual National FFA Convention was held in Louisville, Kentucky, Oct. 29-Nov.1. JABGA was at the event as an exhibitor, and offered a membership deal for JABGA members who signed up through the convention. Thank you to all of the junior members who stopped by our booth to pick up materials and say hi, and to the junior board members who stopped to help out. Judges Information The ABGA website now has a downloadable PDF file with information on judges including the number of shows they have judged, and the number of goats in each show for the past three years. Click here to view this information. Voluntary DNA There are only 2 months left of the voluntary DNA Testing program on sires of kids conceived after January 1, 2015 that you are registering. All other DNA testing through ABGA is on a voluntary basis, including parent verification.

The next meeting after that will be held March 20th and 21st inOklahoma City, OK. Website servicesA survey about adding new services to the website and database will bedistributed the first part of November via email. Please watch for it andsend us your opinions so we have that information available as wemove into phase II of the changes that are being made.
