Bolts in the Bathtub

A Newsletter for Quilting, Quilt Lovers & Friends

February 2014

Can you believe the first month of the year is over? With the beginning of the year

there is always a new Block of the Month. We had many more that wanted to partici-

pate than anticipated for “Peace & Unity”, so more fabric was ordered and there are

spots available. See page two for more information. Save some space on your calendar

and your sewing room as we have two new BOM starting in the next couple of months.

The first is “Park Bench” by Jaybird Designs for those of you who loved using the

Hex-n-More ruler for the “Toes in the Sand” quilt. The second is “Bertie's Year” a

darling series of Bertie Bird in different poses each month of the year. It is done in

Woolies Flannel rather than cotton.

Do you need therapy? Have your fabric scraps taken over your life? Then you need

Scrap Therapy. Join Anna on Saturday, February 1st or Thursday, February 6th to

learn some organizational tips, get control of your scraps and make some fun projects

out of what you already own.

Anna’s advanced paper piecing was so popular we’ve added a second session for those

of you who were unable to get into the class in January. Group two will meet on the

third Saturday of the even months of the year and group one will continue to meet on

the third Saturday of the odd months of the year. See page five for info and then

join in the fun.

Although this newsletter and calendar is for February, you will find classes listed for

March to give you a heads up in your planning. Look for the March/April newsletter in

a couple of weeks. Remember to check out our website at www.boltsinthebathtub.com

as new classes or schedule changes may be posted prior to you receiving a newsletter.

Have a Happy Valentines Day, and a

joyful month sewing, Dawna
