The size of the Bonnethead Shark is average about 3.3 feet long. The Bonnetheads head is smooth, rounded and shaped like A shovel. . Slide 4 It eats both hard shelled prey, like crustaceans and mollusks, and soft prey like small fish. It lives in western Atlantic and eastern Pacific oceans, in the surf zones, around reefs, on sandy bottoms and eastuaries. They give birth in shallow bays to 8 to 16 pups. Each pup is about 14 inches long. It is a harmless, timid shark.
