Dear Parents,
Welcome to week 2 of term 2 2018. I hope that you all had an
amazing holiday and are now ready for another great term. It was so
nice seeing all the students on day two with smiles on their faces
and saying hello and good morning. It makes our day!
I would greatly appreciate your assistance during the week and over
the weekends in protecting our school. We have had a few break
and enters into the school which caused some minor damage. If you
happen to be going past the school and you see people inside the
grounds which you consider to be suspicious, please do not hesitate
in contacting the local police on 9607 1799. We appreciate your
support.
Next week (week 3) our amazing year 3 and 5 students will be sitting
for the NAPLAN test. The test will run across three days starting on
Tuesday the 15th May and ending on Thursday 17th May. In terms of
the tests, each child will be assessed in areas of Literacy and
Numeracy. Each test will be conducted in the child’s classroom. In
leading up to the testing program, I would like to take this
opportunity of saying how important it is that your child has a
nutritious breakfast on the days of the testing. Please be supportive
of your child and emphasize to them to simply do their best. I look
forward to sharing the results of these tests in term 3 this year. All
the very best to all of our children who will be sitting for NAPLAN in
2018.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge all of the
wonderful Mothers in our school community. With Mother’s Day this
coming Sunday, I do hope that you have a wonderful and beautiful
day. You all deserve to be treated with the greatest respect in terms
of what you do for your children. I hope that you all have a wonderful
day and be spoilt throughout the day. Celebrate well and enjoy!!
Have a great week!!

We hope to see you all in the classrooms during this
exciting opportunity.
