THE BECKER BULLETIN 5 Points of Life Kids Marathon The 5 Points of Life Kids Marathon will be held this Saturday, February 16 th . Located at Celebration Point this year, the 1.2 mile kids marathon will begin at 9:20 a.m., but participants need to be there and registered by 9:00 a.m. Only one parent or guardian will be permitted to accompany each participant on the run. Other family members and friends are encouraged to attend and cheer The Week In Review Miscellaneous SS : We are learning about Colonial Life, and should be done with Ch. 4 by the end of the week. Test to follow. ELA : This week, we focused on cause and effect, subject and object pronouns, and the prefix, “re-.” Math : We just tested on Ch. 7, and began Ch. 8 which deals with fractions and decimals. If your child doesn’t know their times tables, things are going to get tough! Science : We’re now learning about weather and the water cycle. Box Tops : Box Tops are due by Friday, February 22 nd . The class that collects the most will win a frozen fruit pop party! Toys : Personal toys, such as fidget spinners and Pokemon cards, are a distraction in the classroom. Please check your child’s bag to ensure they’re not being brought to school.
