    Ti)$

The material provides guidelines for eleven lessons 1f a group meets twice a wee$ forone and a half hour, the eleven lessons can be covered in about five months

(iscuss with the participants how many times in a wee$ they want to meet, and whichtime is most suitable for them :essons should be given at least two times per wee$, butpreferably more often 3ood progress in the lessons will stimulate the participants andlimit the total duration of the course After two or three days people usually start to

forget what they learned during the previous lesson "epetition is very important to asuccessful courseThe sessions should not ta$e more than one and a half hours at a time, as theparticipants are not used to concentrate for a long time and they probably have alreadyfinished a days wor$

1t is also possible to run the course on a full*time basis The duration will then be about

    three wee$s

    =$&"$

The training can be given anywhere, in the courtyard of one of the participants homes, under a tree, in a classroom, in a community centre or wherever it is convenient for theparticipants and not too far away from their homes Try to avoid the lessons becomingtoo much of a +public affair+ with bystanders watching The participants should be able tofeel at ease and not be distracted by remar$s from people not attending lessons

    La&"a$

)hile the manual is written in .nglish, the training can best be given in the locallanguage of the participants
