The ongoing pandemic has led to re-imagining the healthcare sector. New
opportunities have been created in the industry for manufacturing new products such
as PPEs, N-95 and other types of masks, raising demand for medical and technical
textiles, synthetic materials, etc. To support and grow this specialised sector, we are
introducing the Medical Textiles Zone @ Intex South Asia 2021 where leading suppliers

Intex South Asia is the most successful and established trade platform in Sri Lanka. Since its launch in 2015, the show has been endorsed and supported by major trade bodies and the industry stakeholders of the country have proudly termed Intex South Asia as their annual calendar event which is benecial for the growth and development of their textile and apparel industry. The 3rd edition of the show was inaugurated by former Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, H.E. Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe (Chief Guest) along with Mr. Rishad Baithudeen, Minister for Industry & Commerce (Guest of Honour) and Mr. Sujeewa Senasinghe, State Minister for International Trade (Guest of Honour) in the presence of several diplomats and distinguished guests.
In the last six editions, 1000+ quality textile suppliers have successfully connected with 15000+ buyers from Sri Lanka and beyond. The 7th edition would witness 300+ global companies from textile producing countries participating to increase their business links in Sri Lanka and be part of this successful trade show.
