Terreiro do Paço
It is one of the biggest squares in Europe and it is faced to the
river. This is a beautiful place to take a walk and get surprised
by the most random activities that are done here. This was the
place from which our navigates departed to discover the South
of Africa, the South of America and the maritime way to India.
Rua Augusta
This is probably one of the most famous streets. It
is beautiful to see really amazing artists
performing on the streets, singers, dancers,
human sculptures, etc. This people are just
looking for your appreciation on their work!
There are also clothing stores like Mango,
Bershka, Intimissimi, a museum of design and
fashion, restaurants, coffees, souvenir shops, etc.
Rossio
Where the theater of D. Maria is placed at,
Rossio is a leaving history book, ready to be
relived by you! In the middle of the square you
can find the statue of D. Pedro IV and 4 feminine
shapes which represent Justice , Wisdom ,
Strength and Temperance. You can find here
McDonald's and Startbucks.
Castle of São Jorge
Open to the public 7 days a week, the Castle of São Jorge
is a place where you can enjoy the patrimony, get to
know some of the history of Lisbon at the Museum, take
a break at Café Castle, participate in guided tours or, you
can simply let yourself be swept away by the music,
theater and dance that the monument has everyday!

It is two of the most typical

Jardim do Príncipe RealThis romantic garden is the center of a square surrounded byelegant buildings. It's an urban refuge with a gigantic parasol-likecedar tree under which old ladies, families, or young couples sitfor a while, as old men play cards and children run around a smallplayground. This monument celebrates the Age of Discovery. This was
the place were the first boats heading to Africa used to
depart from. In the monument you can see the main
characters of this part of the world’s history. Vasco da
Gama, who discovered the sea route to India, Pedro Alvares
Cabral, who discovered Brazil, Luis Vaz de Camões, one of
the most known writers, among others. It is a beautiful
place to see the sunset, to run, or just appreciate the beauty.
The Tower of Belém was classified
by UNESCO as "Cultural Patrimony
of All Humanity". In the past it was
used as strategic defense place, as a
prison and as a customhouse in the
Era of Discovery.

These are the one of the most
famous gastronomic treasures of
Portugal. Although these pastries
are sold everywhere, this is the
most famous store selling them.
Exists for almost 180 years and
they sell around 20,000 pastries
every day. This is for without doubt

Mosteiro dos jerónimos
It is one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal. The architectural style of
this beautiful and enormous monument was created in Portugal
and it is called Manuelino Style, due to the king’s name. Inside
you can find the grave of Vasco da Gama, the first men to get to
India by sea.

By car, by bus, by train or by boat, you can
travel to the other side of the Tagus river
and discover Almada.
There you have dozens of kilometres ogbeautiful beaches (S. João da Caparica, Costada Caparica, Fonte da Telha...), ideal to catchsome sun, to surf or to stay in the bars at night.
You can also visit Almada Castle orone of the Miradouros.
There is the famous Cristo Rei,from where you have the mostamazing Lisbon view.
If you feel like going for a walk in thenature, there is an enormous park(Parque da Paz) where you canwalk, run or just relax.
