readings for each Liturgy; the Pauline Epistle, the Catholic Epistle, the Acts (Praxis), the Sinaxarium, and the Gospel

These readings provide an opportunity for biblical contemplation and teaching.

Priestly Vestments God ordered Moses to make special

garments for Aaron his brother (and the Levites), and the priests to use at the time of the service, “And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and beauty.....to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest” (Ex 28:2-3)

The passage mentions these garments: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban and a sash. (see video)

Why are the vestments white?“Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment (Ps 104:2)

“ And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow,…”(Dan 7:9).

The transfiguration (Matt 17:2)“And she saw two angels in white sitting,” (Jn

20:12)“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white

garments…”(Rev 3:5).“And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine

linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.” (Revelation 19:8).

Symbol of purity, cleanliness, and innocence
