Farewell Year 6

Last night we held the Year

6 farewell dinner. A big

thank you to the Pioneer

Hotel for the delicious food.

It was a night of memories

and laughs and I hope that

Ruby and Jack will fondly

remember it in years to

come. We wish them all the

best on the next part of

their educational journey.

Last Day of School

Next Wednesday is our last day of school. We will provide

lunch on Wednesday for the students.

Benches

The newly painted benches outside the school are

looking fantastic. Actually, the whole school is

looking unbelievable. Thanks Betty!

Pool Day

Don’t forget to pack your swimmers, swim shirt,

waterbottle and sunscreen for next Tuesday. We will leave the school at

8:30am. Please dress in school uniform and bring your fruit break. We will

have our McDonald’s lunch at Apex Park and then return to school.

Swimming 2021

****Swimming will begin on Friday 5th February.

The swimming carnival will be held on the 12 February 2021.

Well here it is. The final newsletter of 2020 and my final newsletter as

Relieving Principal. Our 2020 Covid-19 Presentation Day on Monday was a

lovely morning, and although it was not the traditional Presentation Night

that normally occurs, we received a lot of very positive feedback.

I would like to say a final thank you to you all. My time here has been so

special and rewarding. I will miss the daily (perhaps even hourly) laughs

that we all have and the willingness of the students to take on board

whatever they are faced with. As Winnie-the-Pooh said:

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

From all of us at Boomi Public School – a Merry Christmas to you all and a

very Happy New Year.

2021 Week 3: 9th February Sophie Moloney

P&C NEWS

*The recycling shuttles are in place at the Tuckshop gate. One

is for cans, poppers and plastic drink bottles (NOT MILK

CONTAINERS).

The other is for small glass bottles NO WINE or LARGE SPIRIT

BOTTLES thanks. All funds raised will support the school P&C.

Please drop off your recycling anytime.

Thank you to everyone who supported the P&C raffles on Friday

night. It was a great success.

COMMUNITY NEWS

*January Swimming 2021Boomi. Expressions of interest.

In January 2021 at Boomi Pool there will be no Intensive

Swimming by Royal Life or Sport and Recreation as lots of you

have known in past years.

However I am happy to provide a week of Intensive Swimming

from January 4 to January 8. One week or 5 days as opposed

to a 2 week program of 8 days if anyone would like to join me.

If you would be interested in joining these classes please let

me know ASAP so I can start putting together a list and

working out the best fit for all.

*Anglican Church Boomi Christmas Service

Sunday 20th at 5:30pm. Santa will bring gifts

for children that attend
