“Is there a demo version of the Bosch IoT suite that can be accessed freely?”

“How to handle requests from different country where requirement is that data should be stored locally? I understand that when we use IOT suite, suite is runing in AWS instance in Germany. And in which countries IOT suite is already running ?”

Depending on the use case and the customer project we define the necessary deployment regions. Standard offering is running in EMEA region.

“The audio quality was poor when you mentioned pricing tiers - could you repeat the answer?”

Pricing consists of standardized plans with a monthly base fee (Free, Starter & Standard). These plans include base consumption of data volume or number of updates. Additional consumption will be charged in a "pay-as-you-go" approach according to defined parameters for each service. Effective price depends on actual consumption.

“Does Bosch have the ability to compare service offerings and costs from various cloud suppliers, (e.g. Alibaba, AWS, Azure) for a given data use case?”

As a managed service provider we include AWS infrastructure costs in our PaaS-subscription. For individual deployments and customer projects we assess together with our customers

“Bosch IoT Remote Manager; what are the costs to integrate existing devices into the platform ?”

Basically there is no difference between "existing" and "new devices". Cost drivers are the amount of devices, data storage/ transfer and implementation efforts.

“What makes Bosch IoT Suite unique?”

Main difference is our Open Source approach (lowest vendor lock-in possible). Furthermore, we offer a flexible deployment (MS Azure, Bosch IoT Cloud, AWS etc.), extensive software update campaigns and the support of various protocols. Furthermore, Bosch knowledge on how to connect devices is incorporated into the platform.

Our core services are based on Eclipse IoT (Hono, Ditto, HawkBit). Bosch Software Innovations is operating the services, adding features and providing a managed service.

“When talking about the predictive maintenance use case: where does the historical data come from? Do you to have the connected device first to collect data before you can create your business case?”

Data can basically come from any source. It can be historical AND live-data collected and allocated in one database e.g. using Bosch IoT Insights.
