BOTSWANA

Up close...Botswana is known for having some of the best wilderness and wildlife areas on the African continent. Four-fifths of the country is covered by the Kalahari Desert and then into the heart of the desert flows the Okavango River, transforming 15,000 sq kms into a maze of lagoons and waterways – the amazing Okavango Delta. The peak season runs during the winter months of May – September where days are warm dry, sunny and dusty. Mornings and nights can be very cold. During summer you can experience very hot days with some rain.

Highlights • The beautiful waterways of the Okavango Delta• The Moremi and Linyanti Reserves with their big

game viewing areas• The wildlife rich Selinda Reserve• The mighty Chobe River with its herds of elephants • The mysterious Kalahari Desert • The Makgadikgadi and Naxi salt pans where herds

of wildebeest, zebra and other mammals migrate annually in search of permanent water and food.

Chobe National ParkLocated only 100kms from Victoria Falls and within easy access from Kasane you can view the prolific herds of elephant, hippo and predators while cruising the river or on a game drive deep into the park. Our lodges have been carefully selected to ensure a more intimate experience staying in smaller properties located in the park or private concession and away from the busy stretch of river in the main town of Kasane.
