ChessKid.com Partnership We’re excited to announce our sponsored partnership with ChessKid.com - Through the partnership Grade 4 & 5 learners at our partner schools will have the opportunity to experience the full benefit of the ChessKid.com website , including video content, puzzles, articles and live games. We know that this will contribute much to the development of the learners. We already ran one trial session and the learners are excited to be playing games against new opponents. Bottomup ‘Tweets’ We’re heading in to the 4th and final quarter of 2011. It’s been an amazing year for Bottomup and things are looking like they could get even more exciting by growing deeper in our current partner schools. CityMob (A deals website leveraging social media) recently ran a campaign for Bottomup which enabled us to have the MacAdderbite Snakeshow at the Perivale Primary Food Fair - this proved a huge hit with children and parents. Thanks if you supported this campaign and keep an eye out in the future if you missed the chance. As an end of term creative activity for learners we ran a ‘bake & cake’ workshop with the Grade 4 classes. One of the learners feedback comments was “This is the best day of my life” - a reminder that the small things done in good spirit make a BIG impact with children. At present we’re still seeking donors to sponsor our literacy programme (active) and our planned creative arts programme (stopped due to funding).
