Bournemouth

The city of Bournemouth is located in the southern part of England. It is situated on the English channel.

Bournemouth Beaches

Bournemouth is famous for it’s beaches. The hotels are built right on the beaches, so people have no problem to go swimming or sunbathing. It is possible to rent boats and other equipment for various activities.

The Bournemouth Airport

The Bournemouth airport is not the biggest one in England. It has only two airstrips and two terminals. It is located to the north of the city.

Bournemouth Town Hall

Though Bournemouth has many beautiful new buildings, the Town Hall is one of the most impressive buildings in Bournemouth. It was build in the beginning of the 20th centaury. Throughout it’s history it was reconstructed several times.

The Bournemouth Library

One of the newest buildings in Bournemouth is the new library. It is a modern building which was made using modern technology. It has stories, and is made from glass and metal beams. The library itself has many books, as well as computers and WI-FI service.

The Bournemouth Parks

Bournemouth has many parks and is generally considered as a green city. Most of the parks have small streams, usually they are man-made. The Central Park even has it’s own lake.

Café’s and Bars

Many tourists visit Bournemouth each year, so it is no surprise that there are many pubs and bars. A large number of them are near the beach and in the centre of the city. In the photo below, you can see a ice-cream bar at the beach. There you can order food and drinks while being outside and inside.

Places of interest in Bournemouth

Bournemouth has many historical places. Such are the St. Stephen's Church and St. Peter's Church which can be seen on the photo.

Most of the churches were constructed in the middle ages. Though they are surrounded buy modern buildings, they are still in perfect condition.
