Youngstown State University• Scholarship Program at YSU has been expanded greatly in

the last year, including more scholarships for on-campus housing and Honor’s students

• The Honor’s program has been expanded and a new Honor’s College was established.

• YSU LaunchLab, an initiative that combines engineering and art for 3D manufacturing and design, was among the programs highlighted by President Obama at the first White House Maker Faire.

• YSU received a $365,000 grant from the Department of Defense to purchase a 3D printer that will enhance YSU’s additive manufacturing research and education capabilities.

• A new apartment complex will be built in the next year and improvements will be made to the streets surrounding the University.
