General Information
I. Registration Each person must use a separate check as well as a sepa-
rate registration form for each class requested. Fill out the form, and return it along with your check to
the address on the registration form. Be sure to send the correct fee for each class. Registration forms will be accepted up to one week be-
fore the start of the session. There is a $15 service charge for each returned check. Seniors (age 60+): Please include proof of age, such as a
copy of a driver’s license or other identification showing name and date of birth.
Please be aware that some equipment may have to be supplied by the student.
There is NO additional fee for out-of-district registrants. You will NOT be notified of your acceptance into class.
Simply attend the first scheduled meeting. II. Class Cancellations We reserve the right to cancel/change/substitute courses,
events, teachers, rooms, etc. due to circumstances beyond our control.
When district schools are closed due to inclement weath-er or other emergencies, classes will not be held.
Adult education classes will not be held when district schools are closed for holidays or vacations.
If a class must be cancelled, a makeup class will be scheduled according to teacher and facility availability.
III. Refunds or Credits If a class does not form due to lack of enrollment, a re-
fund will be issued. Generally, classes require a mini-mum enrollment of 10 students.
Once a session has begun, there is no monetary refund. No exceptions will be made!

This hands-on course will cover a brief history of photog-raphy, including the transition from film to digital. How to operate a digital camera (particularly in manual mode) will be discussed. Computer software that manipulates

Do you enjoy a home cooked meal, but think you don’t have time during the crazy week or the jam-
packed weekend? With a little planning and a few simple ingredients on hand, we will put together a complete meal that will satisfy you and your family (including the young ones). For those who have taken the Fundamentals of Cooking
class, you will build on the knowledge from those classes to easily prepare these meals. Each week we will go over the menu including demonstrations and discussions of basic cooking techniques. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Mr. Cory Muscara Long Island Center for Mindfulness HS 301 This 8 week course is designed to transform your relation-ship with stress, improve your health, and increase your enjoyment in life. It is supported by 35 years worth of re-search that consistently demonstrates reductions in stress, anxi-ety, depression and insomnia, as well as increases in joy, crea-tivity, productivity and psychological well-being. The MBSR course was recently featured on the cover of TIME magazine as a powerful program for reducing stress and im-proving well-being. This program is taught by Cory Muscara, and MBSR teacher with extensive training at the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical School, and an Integrative Health Coach trained at Duke University. In 2012, Cory spent six months in silence practicing mindfulness meditation 14+ hours each day in Burma, and was recently featured on the Dr. Oz show discussing the many health benefits of mindfulness meditation.
