"A repertory performance by Stalker Theatre, "Dear mother dear father" was created in the 80s as part of "Box-Theatre": a wider experimental project inve-stigating, according to the poetics which are typical of the company, the relationship between visual arts and theater. The idea behind the performance is the creation of a "sculpture-text": starting from wooden boxes filled with various visual and audio materials, the performers bring objects to life through minimal and evocative actions.OnOn stage, the traditional figures of folktale are in this way progressively evoked - the King, the Queen, the Son, the Beautiful Maiden, the Monster - and, through the simple exchange of an object or a hat, they are handed on from performer to perfor-mer, as in a card game.

Drawing from the classic study by Vladimir Propp on folk tales and the "hero's journey", Stalker Theatre goes back to the origins of the narrative process, identifying the issues and stereotypes of diversity in order to create an intriguing perfor-mance with a surprise ending."
