What’s the DSM-380 Boxee Box?
The Boxee Box (DSM-380) provides an easy way to bring multimedia to your television. Simply connect the Boxee Box to the Internet using a wireless or wired connection. Plug in an HDMI cable and off you go. Boxee’s 10-foot user interface allows you to comfortably browse through content from the comfort of your couch. The Boxee Box delivers movies, TV shows, music, and photos from your computer, home network, and the Internet to an HDTV without the need for a PC. Additionally, Boxee's core social features make it easy for your friends to discover new content through social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and others.

The connected TV market is mature and lots of vendors are focusing on this
kind of product. The Boxee software is a popular candidate to enter this market , but
currently it’s mostly run on PCs. If a user wants to see its applications on a
TV, he has to connect the PC to a TV – this can be very inconvenient.
According to the survey, current Boxee users have a strong demand for this
kind of box and this translates into a potential market. The target user will be between age 20-35 and is familiar with/likes to use
internet applications and devices. Targets market of hi-end media players.
