Boy Scouts of America2015 Eagle Scout
Recognition & Reunion Dinner
Friday, January 9, 2015
Eagle Scout Alumni association
January 9, 2015
Dear Eagle Scouts,
You have met the personal challenge and attained the Eagle Rank. This is the highest honor that one can earn in the Scouting program. We are here tonight to honor your achievement. You have received gifts, letters and accolades from many, but the best honor is the one you have given yourself. You have set a personal goal, one that most will never reach, and you have accomplished it. You are an Eagle Scout. Wearing an Eagle badge, my friends, is a gift that will keep on giving. You have learned that hard work, dedication, and perseverance will end with success - a most important life lesson.
We always welcome back alumni and encourage them to reconnect with our program. Their knowledge, dedication and understanding of Scouting makes our service to youth better. On behalf of the alumni committee of the Patriots’ Path Council, welcome to our fraternity, as we look forward to you joining us for future activities and events.
Always remember what you represent. You can make it easy by living the Scout Oath and Law everyday so others will follow. Once again, we welcome you and look forward to your continued support of the Scouting program. We wait here in awe watching our, “NEWEST EAGLES SOAR.”
Congratulations and warmest welcome!

Keith Dlugosz
Keith Dlugosz started in Scouting at a very early age; he attended his first den meeting in a stroller while his mother Margie was den leader of his older brothers Alan’s and Glenn’s den. Keith attended all the pack meetings of Pack 222 in Irvington, NJ where his father, Chester was Cubmaster.
Following in the footsteps of his brother Eric, in 1979 Keith joined Boy Scout Troop 216 in Irvington. Keith immediately fell in love with camping and the troop went camping at least once a month. Attending his first Boy Scout summer camp in 1979 Keith spent two weeks at Crossett Lake Scout Reservation in Fort Ann, NY just to the east of Lake George Summer camp defined his life. During the two weeks at camp his parents moved to a new home in North Arlington, NJ. (Keith had his doubts as to whether his parents would pick him up from the bus) Although there was a troop in North Arlington, Keith and his brother Eric continued to be a part of Troop 216 in Irvington because the troop was so active. His mother Margie also continued in Scouting as the troop treasurer.
In 1982 Keith was inducted into the Order of the Arrow. In 1984 Keith attended Philmont Scout Ranch and also attended summer camp for two weeks at Crosset Lake to help the younger Scouts. Keith worked on camp staff at Conklin Scout Reservation Cub Scout day camp in 1983 as a lifeguard, Crossett Lake Scout Reservation in 1985, in 1986 as assistant provisional Scoutmaster and 1990 as cope director, as well as volunteered as an assistant ranger throughout the year, building, fixing and maintaining both Conklin and Crossett Lake Scout camps. In 1985 Keith earned the rank of Eagle Scout and in 1990 became a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow. In 2002 Keith was awarded the Vigil honor from the Order of the Arrow.
During the summer of 1990 Keith met his amazing wife Lori at Crossett Lake where she was the cook. Keith and Lori were married in 1992 with Lori’s daughter Amanda serving as maid of honor and Courtney serving as Keith’s best (man) girl.
In 1999 Keith became the part time ranger at Rock Hill Scout Reservation in Milford, PA and in 2002 moved to Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation as the resident assistant ranger. In 2007 Keith became the reservation director of Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation.

Scott Kampe
Scott Kampe was raised in a Scouting family in Westfield, New Jersey. After Cub Scouts he joined his older brother in Troop 72 where their father was an assistant Scoutmaster. Troop outings usually involved backpacking or canoeing. After earning the rank of Eagle Scout he continued to serve the community as a member of the Rescue Squad and the National Ski Patrol.
Scott earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from NJIT. As a professional, he focused on design of industrial equipment, notably for the food industry. His career path took him from Draftsman to Director of Engineering.
Married for 31 years, he is the proud father of two young adults. His children lured him back to Scouting and he was a den leader and an Assistant Girl Scout Leader. He served as Scoutmaster of two Edison Boy Scout troops (66 and 44) for a total of 9 years. He is currently head of Troop 44’s Eagle committee and asst. chairman of Raritan Valley District’s Advancement Committee. Scott has been inducted as an Order of the Arrow Vigil member and is the recipient of the Silver Beaver and James E. West awards.Scott has guided 33 boys from Troops 44 and 66 in earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He feels that becoming an Eagle Scout is not the end of the trail but rather the beginning of living a life with integrity. “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle” is his motto and his associates know that he lives his life guided by the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Eagle Scout Testimonials“Scouting has taught me that life has many obstacles and to overcome them you have to be persistent in order to succeed.”-Adam Adrignolo, Lone Scout, Montville
“The skills and lessons learned, acquired, and applied in my path to become an Eagle Scout are ones that I will carry with me through college and my future ahead of me.”-Arturo Aguayo, Troop 112, Morristown
“Earning the rank of Eagle has helped me expand my love of the outdoors, strengthen many friendships with fellow Scouts and helped me get accepted into my college of first choice. If I ever have a son, I plan on being a Scout leader so I can teach him what I learned from my Dad.”-Richard Andes, Troop 277, Kinnelon
“Scouting has taught me that everything will pass, and thus make the most of it. Whether it be a rain storm during Friday set up, hiking a ridge line during sunset, the stress of meeting a deadline for paper work, or the meditative trance of painting, it won’t last forever.”-Henry Anthony, Troop 96, Springfield
“The ways in which achieving the Eagle Scout award has affected my life are first and foremost, the close relationships I have made with people who I would not have otherwise met and the positive influence they have had on my life. Now that I am an Eagle, I feel a great sense of pride that I accomplished my goal and stand with an elite group, who carry more responsibility, for the rest of my life. ”-Trevor Asrejadid, Troop 150, Bernardsville

“Earning my Eagle Scout award exposed me to complete leadership from start to finish. While completing the tasks required, I learned time management, diligence, and mental toughness. I had to be a self reliant, and a responsible adult. Learning these skills earned me confidence which lead me to join the wrestling team, and take my position as an assistant Scoutmaster to give back to my troop. Completing my Eagle award has made me become the best version of myself.”-Benjamin Briscoe, Troop 159, Succasunna
“Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout is like exercising: it’s a lot of work, and is not always fun when you’re doing it, but you feel great after you’re done. I’m proud to be a part of such a distinguished group of scouts, and hope to inspire others to follow in my footsteps.” -Timothy Carroll, Troop 32, Watchung“Becoming an Eagle Scout means that I achieved a goal to which I aspired for my entire life. Ever since my early years as a Tiger Cub, I knew I wanted to earn that Eagle Badge. After eleven years of hard work, I am very proud that I am now a member of the honorable group of people who have earned the prestigious awards available in scouting.”-Ryan Carter, Troop 88, Bridgewater

These skills have helped me in school with projects, socially with friends, and with my Eagle project. Becoming an Eagle Scout was very rewarding.”-Daniel Rosario, Troop 90, Branchburg
“I expect that earning the rank of Eagle Scout will greatly aid my chances in the search for a college and a career. The title of Eagle will always push me to help around my community, nation and the world.”-Scott Schipmann, Troop 67, Piscataway
“To be an Eagle Scout means to try to be the best person you can be as a leader.”-Brendan Shanahan, Troop 72, Parsippany

“Being an Eagle Scout has affected my life by making me a better person through a variety of means; whether learning first aid or how to teach and lead others I have learned so much first making Eagle and then after, when the fun of responsibility is felt even more than when you were striving to achieve the rank of Eagle. I am proud to be an Eagle Scout.”-Nicholas Sherman, Troop 159, Succasunna

“Throughout my scouting career, I’ve experienced many difficult challenges, such has my OA ordeal, my first class cooking, or my Eagle Scout Project. Many younger scouts experience hardships, perhaps being tired after a difficult trial, cutting themselves with a knife, having homesickness. To me, Scouting is about taking these hardships and making the best out of them, and even preparing for them. Your Troop lost an event, but you can always laugh around the campfire about how Tim burnt the burgers. Scouting is about all of the experiences you’ve had whether they are good or bad and sharing them around a campfire with fellow scouts.”-Adam S. Timari, Troop 154, Somerset
“The road to Eagle has helped to prepare me for my future and has taught me how to deal with any challenges that are presented to me. I’ve developed many skills, one of the most important to me is how to be an effective leader and inspire others to lead. I feel that the Scout Law and Oath will serve me well for the rest of my life and am confident that I can achieve anything that I set my mind to.”-Zachary Van Es, Troop 150, Sparta
“Achieving my Eagle Scout rank has enhanced my confidence in my abilities as a leader, helped me to realize my potential, and reinforced the importance of the values taught to me by Scouting. The lessons I have learned in achieving my Eagle Scout rank will continue to serve me into my adulthood and as I begin my career in the United States Navy.” -Bradford Van Orden, Troop 153, Wantage
“Becoming an Eagle Scout has increased my confidence and self-esteem and has changed my outlook on life for the better. Simply put, the transformation to Eagle Scout has made me a much better person.”-Brian Van Wart, Troop 144, Pompton Plains
“Getting my Eagle is really meaningful and gives me a sense of accomplishment. It sets me apart from others. It is a great finish to my Scouting years and I know it is something that will stay with me forever.”-Andrew Vernon, Troop 46, Martinsville
“Earning the rank of Eagle Scout has shown me that hard work and perseverance most definitely pay off.”-Andrew Vex, Troop 165, Rockaway
“The rank of Eagle Scout to me is the cultivation of 12 years of learning and fun. Achieving this honor was not so much the result of hard work, as much as the eventuality of 12 years of endless enjoyment. I am an Eagle because Scouting made me an Eagle.”-Griffin Williams, Troop 159, Succasunna
