On behalf of all of us
at Marquette Catholic
High School, allow me
to welcome you, as
the principal, to this
athletic season. One
of the key ingredients
to the overall success
of Marquette is our
athletic department
and the teams it
comprises. It serves as a wonderful complement to the academic
preparation and faith formation that our students receive as a
part of a college preparatory school. Athletics at Marquette play
a signifi cant role in the educational experience of our young
people. Participation in interscholastic athletics provides so
many valuable life skills and lessons. Discovery
and development of leadership skills is a key
piece in the experience of athletics.
Hard work, perseverance, discipline, and
teamwork are attributes that I see our
student-athletes display in the classroom
and in the athletic arena. I am pleased with
the commitment that our players
and coaches make toward developing their
talents into being the best team they can be.
I want to thank all of you for supporting the
Blazers and hope you are able to be a positive
infl uence on our teams.
THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!
Jim White, Principal
As the Director of Athletics, it is with great
pleasure to welcome you to the 2010-2011 athletic season.
I am very fortunate to enter this school year as the director of a
successful and tradition-fi lled athletic program, that exemplifi es
all that is good in
interscholastic athletics.
I acknowledge
and commend our
coaching staff as
they work diligently
with our disciplined
and hard working
student-athletes,
to improve their
individual physical
skills and collective
team effi ciency to their
greatest eff ectiveness.
We, at Marquette
Catholic High
School, recognize
and encourage your
continued community support for our Blazer squads, as we
anticipate many exciting athletic contests this season. We have
set high standards for our student-athletes, both in the classroom
and in the athletic arena, with the knowledge that these daily
challenges serve very favorably in the overall development of
our capable Christian leaders of tomorrow.
I look forward to a great 2010-2011 athletic season and feel
a true sense of Blazer Pride as I welcome you to this basketball
season! Have a great season! GO BLAZERS!
KEEP UP THE HARD WORK!
Kerrie Schludecker, Director of Athletics
