• “Right First Time”– Six‐sigma orientation

• Knowledge base of reusable components like best practices, code, componentized rule‐sets, documentation templates, etc.

• Short resource ramp‐up time and optimal use of resources and infrastructure

• Ensure right technology platform selection

• Ensure governance around schedule, resource, scope, issues, timelines etc.

The BPCC path to process excellenceSuperior customer experience requires an agile‐orchestrated architecture. However, the very nature of getting work done is changing with the advent of digital technologies and a new era of millennial workers. These new paradigms are affecting the way we orchestrate and execute work in the Enterprise. Today’s businesses are trying to drive even higher levels of knowledge worker productivity. To accomplish, you must integrate real‐time analytics, social interaction and mobile access into business operations to allow people change the way they perform their job function.

BPM is now the critical glue for orchestrating multiple processes, functions and IT systems, transforming businesses and delivering a compelling, differentiated customer experience. Business leaders must also invest in new skills and roles that support digital business transformation.

Many of the organizations have not yet developed global BPM competencies or instituted best practices around building global BPM platforms that promote re‐useable platforms across the enterprise. To reimagine a whole new customer experience, you will need to go beyond process standardization and create reusable software assets across the enterprise.

A Gartner report on BPM usage found that most organizations embarked on BPM programs without established guidelines or processes to manage the program. A Business Process Competency Center (BPCC) helps overcome these challenges and lays the foundation for long‐term BPM‐driven success across the business. BPCC helps design and manage elements like process hierarchy, modeling standards and process improvement methodology, which are critical to the success of BPM projects.

VirtusaPolaris’ Business Process Competency Center (BPCC)BPCC is VirtusaPolaris’ enterprise solution for BPM governance and program management. BPCC is an IP‐based framework developed using PRPC and other assets developed by VirtusaPolaris. It is a combination of configurable frameworks for jump‐starting BPM Center of Excellence (CoE) initiatives, accompanied by an implementation methodology and operating model.

Built on VirtusaPolaris’ ten years of BPM implementation experience and deep technical knowledge, the BPCC complements a portfolio of services that accelerates business outcomes. The BPCC platform applies best practices and tested tools to knowledge management, asset management, resource management, program management, training and utilities, and help in:

• Effective documentation for designing and managing process elements like process hierarchy, modeling standards etc., leading to process transparency

Businesses that set up a business process competency center (BPCC) have a better track record in delivering strategically rele-vant business outcomes than those that do not. “
