Case Synopsis
• 89 year old male. Virgin chest.
• AVR & CABG x 2 with 1 SVG & LIMA.
• 23mm Edwards Perimount Magna Ease Bovine Pericardial
Bioprosthesis Valve.
• CASMED Fore-Sight Oximetry used in tandem with c-FLOWTM.
• This patient exhibited very labile pressures and was highly vasoactive
noticeable in the peaks and troughs of his MAP & correlating CFI as
anesthesia and perfusion worked to maintain perfusion pressure.

Case - CFI Correlations to MAP & Oximetry
• First drop in CFI is hypotension. Second drop in CFI is initiation of bypass followed by rebound when full bypass flow was achieved. Note where P2 sensor momentarily lifted off forehead.
• No change in Oximetry during same time frame.
