Description:
Brainstorming is a powerful lean tool but it is slowly starting to fade as a method for generating ideas and obtaining the participation of people potentially affected by the resulting changing. This is precisely why brainstorming should be a common practice within any meeting requiring change in process or future needs. This presentation provides a simple but effective brainstorming process to follow.

Determine Which Ideas are Selected

• Number the ideas in the brainstorm list• The number of votes per person is 1/3 of the total number of

ideas in the brainstorm list. For example if there were 18 ideas then each person would have 6 votes

• Everyone places their votes according to the idea number on a piece of paper

• The person conducting the brainstorm session collects all of the papers

• The ideas with the most votes are selected
