The letterforms of our brandmark have been specially drawn and are unique. Therefore, our brandmark should never be redrawn or altered in any manner. Our brandmark is made out of two key elements:1. The bespoke letterforms that make up the word European Recycling Platform.2. The arrow-circle that sits to the left of our name.

The arrow-circle, symbolises the recirculation of the resources. The circles are turning counter-clockwise - a sign for bringing the materials back into the flow. The square symbolises the core values of ERP, putting its activities into the centre of the recycling idea. When used in the full colour version, the brandmark always uses the ERP Red for the square and the name, the ERP Grey for the arrow-circle.The brandmark has been optimised and edited for the best aesthetics and shall only be used as one piece from the original data set. The only modifications permitted is the uniform scaling according to the dimensions mentioned in the different applications.

The use of any localised versions of our brandmark will require the explicit permission from our ERP President and CEO.

Our colour palette consists of our main corporate colours Red and Grey and secondary colour 30% grey.

The references provided on this page should be used for relevant media applications. When printing in four colour process (CMYK) the percentage values given here should be followed. For on-screen communications, use the RGB values (screen/monitor colours) and Hexadecimal Codes (web safe colours). These match the Pantone® references as closely as possible.

Secondary Colour (30%Gray) can be used for supporting graphics.

The length of the words follow the normal spacing of the words.

The font for the brandmark type is “Frutiger 65 bold” which is set to outlines. (To be used by design consultants/finished artists. Please refer to section 15 for further information on fonts)

Sizes: The size is defined by height of the graphic sign, of dimension A.

The font height is 0.33 of the brandmark height A.

The dimensions are based on a square shaped grid.

The arrow-circle is defined by the length of the arrow heads and the centre square.

The length of the words follow the normal spacing of the words.

The type font is "Frutiger 45 light"

To simplify the use with the different country trademarks, the size is defined by height of the graphic sign, the dimension A.

04/ Clearance Area

In order to give prominence to our brandmark, it should be used with an area of clear space surrounding it. This ensures that it is always clear of other graphic elements, such as text and imagery. The clearance zone, as shown, is derived from the height of our arrow-circle. Nothing should enter the clearance area.

About the European Recycling PlatformThe European Recycling Platform (ERP) was set up in December 2002 by Braun, Electrolux, HP and Sony in response to the introduction of the European Union’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. ERP’s mission is to ensure cost effective implementation of the directive, for the benefit of the participating companies and their customers. This is achieved through innovative waste management strategies and by encouraging national implementation of the directive according to a set of core principles, fundamental to the protection of consumers and business, as well as the environment.

ERP is the first WEEE compliance scheme to be permitted and to run operations in multiple European countries and thus the first scheme to pass on the advantages of multinational recycling operations to the consumer. ERP has proved to be the most competitive solution for companies in the countries where it has started to operate.

The way the written word is presented has a powerful effect on a viewer’s perception of the ERP brandmark.

Both Frutiger and Verdana fonts can be downloaded from www.myfonts.com

Our primary typeface for the ERP brandmark is Frutiger. Design consultants/finished artists should use our primary typeface for the ERP brandmark and text in Frutiger and in all print materials.

The brandmark has been supplied in various formats for use in different situations. When printing the brandmark through four colour process the CMYK files should be used. Our brandmark must always be reproduced from the artwork supplied in order to ensure consistency across all applications.
