Branksome is a striking Victorian property with later Art Deco extensions. It was originally commissioned as a private school to act as a ‘feeder’ to Charterhouse which moved from London to Godalming in 1872. Fashioned from local Bargate stone and adorned with elegant stone mullioned windows, it exudes the grandeur of a bygone era.

Now, almost 150 years later, Branksome enters the next chapter of its illustrious life, with a sympathetic conversion into 16 luxury apartments. A second block will now sit alongside, comprising of a further nine newly built apartments.

GodalmingGodalming is a historic market town located approximately 4 miles southwest of Guildford. It a highly regarded residential address which was once ranked as the UK’s third ‘most desirable property hotspot’. The wider borough of Waverley has also recently won the accolades of having ‘the highest quality of life in Great Britain’ as well as being number one in the ‘UK prosperity index’. The town is adorned with an abundance of characterful buildings, with 138 being listed by Historic England.

For those who like their food even fresher, take a trip to the farmers market in neighbouring Bramley or why not ‘pick your own’ at the renowned Secretts farm shop. For a complete shopping experience, Guildford, one of the southeast’s premium retail hubs, is approximately 4 miles away.

Farncombe is just 0.6 miles away, with regular, direct trains to Guildford taking from 5 minutes, whilst London Waterloo takes from 43 minutes. Godalming Station is 0.8 miles away and offers regular, direct trains to Haslemere from 10 minutes, whilst direct trains to Portsmouth can take from 52 minutes.

The A3 can be picked up within 2 miles of Branksome, giving easy access to the M25 London Orbital. Guildford is just 4.6 miles away, whilst Central London can be reached in 37.6 miles.

For those who enjoy international travel, Heathrow Airport is 27.9 miles away, whilst Gatwick Airport is 33.4 miles from Branksome.

SCHOOLSNo overview of Godalming would be complete without a special mention of the excellent schools in area.

Branksome is currently within catchment for Godalming Junior School and Moss Lane School, both rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, as well as within easy reach of the renowned Godalming College, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

For those taking the private route, the world-renowned Charterhouse School is 1 mile away, whilst St Hillary’s, Priors Field, Aldro and St Catherines are all within 4 miles.

For further education, The University of Surrey which ranks in the “Top 10 in the UK” for many of its courses is just 5 miles away.
