Important Events Event 1: Emily lied about how many minutes she practiced the flutophone ( an instrument similar to
a recorder ). She changed the 1s on her paper into 4s, to look like she practiced 45 minutes insteadof 15 minutes. This is important because she made it look like she practiced her flutophone morewhich made her teacher believe she practiced the most in her class. Then she gets a solo in aconcert.
Event 2: Emily writes many notes to her parents living in London. Checking in on herparents was important because she wanted to check in on them to see if they were ok.
Event 3: Emily is very worried about her mom and dad. She cant fall asleep and holds on to
her grandpas British dog tags. This is important because she she is very worried if theyare still alive.
Event 4 : In the middle of the night Emily gets out of bed and she goes to the attic. She thenstarts to cry because she lied about how many minutes she practiced. This is importantbecause she lied. This makes her feel like she was nt doing a good job.

This is a problem because she then gets a solo

Solution: Emily talked to her friends and her
