• The country is divided into 5 sections with different eco-systems. This includes the North, Northeast, South, Southeast, and central west

• Population -190 million people

Geography

• In 1500, Portuguese explorer Pedro Alvaras Cabral was the first person to discover Brazil

• It remained a colony of Portugal until September 7, 1822. Brazil declared it’s independence from Portugal.

Tijuca Forest National Park

The Tijuca Forest is a mountainous hand-planted rainforest in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is claimed to be the world's largest urban forest, covering some 32 km² (12.4 mi²)

It previously been cleared and developed to grow sugar and coffee

The Tijuca Forest is home to hundreds of species of plants and wildlife many threatened by extinction, and found only in the Atlantic Rainforest

In 1961, Tijuca Forest was declared a  National Park.

Corcovado Mountains

• Corcovado, meaning "hunchback" in Portuguese, is a mountain in central Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 710-metre (2,329 ft) granite peak is located in the Tijuca Forest, a national park

•  Corcovado Rack Railway  which was opened in 1884 and refurbished in 1980

Christ the Redeemer

• It is 30 metres (98 ft) tall, not including its 8-metre (26 ft) pedestal, and its arms stretch 28 metres (92 ft) wide

• The statue weighs 635 metric tons (625 long, 700 short tons), and is located at the peak of the 700-metre (2,300 ft) Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city of Rio

• As a symbol of Brazilian Christianity, the statue has become an icon for Rio de Janeiro and Brazil

• It is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone, and was constructed between 1922 and 1931

• It was created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by the Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with the French engineer Albert Caquot

• On July 7, 2007 it was declared as a New Seven Wonders of the World

Sugarloaf Mountain

Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar) is a peak situated in Rio de Janeiro at the mouth of Guanabara Bay on a peninsula that sticks out into the Atlantic Ocean.

Height is 396 meters (1,299 ft) above the harbour.

It is known worldwide for its cableway and panoramic views of the city.

Maracana Stadium

• Like any country Brazil has its most prominent sport which is soccer, the Brazilian soccer team is one of the worlds best and holds 5 world titles

• Maracana Stadium  is a football stadium in Rio de Janeiro

• Owned by the Rio de Janeiro state government

• It was opened in 1950 to host the FIFA World Cup

Teresópolis

• Teresópolis  is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Rio de Janeiro

• The Serra dos Órgãos National Park is in the vicinity.

• Its predominant vegetation belongs to the Atlantic Forest type.

• The city is surrounded by forests and by well-known summits or peaks, because of which the city is known as the national capital of mountaineering

Petropolis

• Petropolis also known as The Imperial City of Brazil, is a municipality in the state of Rio de Janeiro, at a distance of 68 km from the state capital

• The main attraction is the former Summer Palace of the second Brazilian emperor, which is now the Imperial Museum

São Paulo

• São Paulo is a global city located in south-eastern Brazil. It is the most populous city in Brazil, in the Americas, and the world's twelfth largest city by population

Museum of Art , Luz Station and Ibirapuera Park

• The Oliveira bridge is a cable-stayed bridge in São Paulo over the Pinheiros River, opened in May 2008. The bridge is 138 metres (453 ft) tall

• São Paulo Museum of Art is an art museum located on Paulista Avenue considered a landmark and main symbol of modern Brazilian architecture

• Luz Station  is the common name for a railway station in the Luz neighbourhood in São Paulo

• São Paulo Cathedral is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of São Paulo and is considered by some to be the 4th largest neo-gothic cathedral in the world

• Ibirapuera Park – the second largest urban park of the city and probably the most popular. It is home to several museums

Manaus "Heart of the Amazon" 

• It is the capital city of the state of Amazonas in northern Brazil

• Manaus is located in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, and access to the city is primarily through boat or airplane

• Dramatic convergence of different types of water bodies is main centre of attractions

Salvador ,Bahia

The first colonial capital of Brazil, the city is one of the oldest in the Americas

The Historic Centre of Salvador was designated in 1985 a World Heritage Site by UNESCO

Iguassu Falls

Iguassu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentina province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná

DAY-1Arrive Sao PauloUpon arrival at Sao Paulo Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel Overnight at Sao PauloDAY-2Sao Paulo-Rio De JaneiroAfter breakfast at hotel, proceed for a Historical City Tour of Sao Paulo. On the city Tour see the Oliveira bridge , Cathedral Se, São Paulo Museum of Art , Luz Station and Ibirapuera Park Later transfer to the airport to board your onward flight to Rio De JaneiroUpon arrival you will be transferred to hotel. Overnight in Rio De Janeiro

DAY-3Rio De JaneiroToday, after breakfast at hotel we will head off for city tour and Sugar Loaf Excursion . This tour begins with the panoramic view through downtown Rio The tour is done in two steps by glass cable cars. The first cable car takes you to the Urca Hill and later we will visit corcovado mountain and the beachesThen we will go for Guanabara Bay ExcursionOvernight in Rio De Janeiro

DAY-4 Rio De Janeiro-Salvador After breakfast at hotel , transfer to the airport to board flight to Salvador . Arrival at Salvador Airport and be transferred to hotel in Salvador . Later head off for a City tour to Salvador Overnight in SalvadorDAY-5Salvador-ManausBreakfast at hotel and later visit the one of the most incredible displays of nature’s majesty. The meeting of the waters is the dramatic convergence of different types of water bodies is main centre of attractions. After Dinner at the hotel, we will be transferred to the airport to board flight to Iguassu

DAY-6Manaus- IguassuIguassu falls are located at the border with Brazil and Argentina Enjoy a buffet breakfast at hotel and later this morning, we will go for an excursion to Brazilian Falls DAY-7Departed from IguassuBreakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight back home or onward destination
