Break Down of Digipak cover First we created this abstract background for the cover of the digipak. We created this by using Adobe Photoshop Elements; first we filled a blank canvas with a block colour and then used some of the effects available to get how it looks below. The effects used were the half tone pattern and stained glass. When it was completed we thought the look of it matched the genre of our chosen music video. The next step in creating the cover was to add the band members to it. We had already taken photos of the band members before starting this digipak; once we were ready to use the photos we loaded them into Photoshop elements and changed them to silhouettes. To change the photos into silhouettes we had to cut out the band member from the original video and then we could fill them in with black, then we would highlight the instruments with grey so that they could be distinguished from the band member. Once all four were done they were then ready to put onto the above background, this was the result below.

Break Down of Digipak cover

First we created this abstract background for the cover of the digipak.

The Cover now needs the band name on it so that it’s recognisable as the band’s CD. First we had to find a font that we liked and then use that for the name of the band. The band that we used in the video already had their own name and they allowed us to use it as the name of the band in the video, the name of their band is Man Down. Using the Internet we used a site that has many downloadable fonts for people to use and that is where we found the font Nightmare Hero to use for our band name. All that was left to do was use the Text tool on Photoshop and write the name of the band above the members in the chosen font.

The last step was to add the title of the album onto the cover. We used a title generator to come up with the title, as we couldn’t think of a specific title ourselves. We are not entirely sure about the title as it comes from a generator but we are happy with it at the moment, as it seems to fight with the genre.
