Sally Gore, MS, MS LISLamar Soutter Library

2011 MAHSLIN Annual Meeting
?
So a few months back, I did a webinar on the use of content
management systems and Web 2.0 for MAHSLIN.
Remember?
After it was over, our colleague and friend, Michelle Eberle, asked me, “Where do you get the clipart for
your presentations? I always love it.”
And I answered,“I draw it.”
Really?
Yep, True Story
??

??
?
?
?
I drew this.

?
?This, too.
And this one.
Here’s another. Different talk.
Oh, and I was pretty proud of these. You
might have seen them in my starring role on
the MLA Webcast. heh, heh
The point is, I drew every one of these using PowerPoint.
Yes.
PowerPoint.
If you look at them closely, you’ll see there’s not much to any of them besides circles and
triangles and rectangles and a line here and there.
It’s EASY!
THIS STICK DUDE…
THES
E TH
INGS
NOTHING MORE THAN…
PUT TOGETHER LIKE THIS:
JUST CONNECT THE PIECES AND VOILA!
Need a whole army of ‘em? Cut and paste,
cut and paste, cut and paste…
Need some formal attire? Triangles anyone?
+ =
IT REALLY IS THAT EASY
When it comes to PPT (Word, too, for that matter), the
drawing pallet, the shapes, the fill and line colors…
these are ALL your friends.
I hope you’ll learn to use them. Be yourself and express your
thoughts and ideas the way YOU would do so, not some
canned clipart. HAVE FUN!
DOODLE ON!
