How do these sound to you?
In this youth exchange 33 young people living with and without disability will learn to-

can someone take action.
Participants will also take an active role and work together in planning and implementing
a high-visibility public event at the end of the exchange to promote inclusion and in-

work in team, creativity, communication skills.
As the follow up of the project participants will use what they learnt—the task will be to
organise a local event in their community to promote inclusion.

TASKS BEFORE THE YOUTH EXCHANGE
As preparation, each team has to record a short interview with a chosen person from their
local communities. This person should be living with disability and someone who they
can look up to as a role model. Questions of the interview should cover the story of this
person, information about their disability, difficulties and highlights in their life connect-

tion of the participants. This task is not optional and is an important part of the exchange,
the interviews will be presented by each team during the program.

Follow-up and dissemination
On the last day of programme an Open Space session will be organized for participants
to plan activities for their local communities, e.g.: flasmob, campaign on Facebook, video
campaign on Youtube, debate event etc.
After the YE all of the participant will have to organize one of these activities in their own
community (e.g. school), in the street, or in thee internet), with the support of partner or-
ganization. Follow up is a very important and integral part of our project. The teams will
need to write a short summary and take some photos about activities.
During the YE participant will make a short documentary film with interviews. We’ll de-
cide together on the structure and the content. Partners are obliged to use their own
means to disseminate the outcomes of the project via online/offline channels.

Venue and logistics The accommodation is going to be „Fecskepalota”, which is situated in the hilly area of
Gánt, 60 km from Budapest. The venue is completely barrier free, 4 beds per room.
The venue has a special room for those with serious limitations.
More photos and information: https://www.facebook.com/fecskepalota
Transport from Budapest to the venue will be arranged by our association for the whole
group when the rest of the travel arrangements are fixed (bus, plane tickets). For domes-
tic travel we withhold 40 EUR from each participant’s travel budget granted by E+.
For the details, please see the Financial Guidelines document.
The youth exchange will be at the end of April. With recent changing tendencies in the
weather it is good to expect good and bad too. Closer to the date and before packing,
check the weather forecast and prepare accordingly.
There is only little infrastructure in Gánt—no shops, no ATM-s, no tobacco shops. Prepare
according to this, but we are likely arrange shop runs to the nearby village so participants
are not totally cut-off from their cravings :)
