Pete the Sheep is a brand-new 50-minute musical, based on Jackie French and Bruce Whatley’s quintessentially Australian picture book.

Shaun is the new sheep shearer in Shaggy Gully. Since shearing is such hard work, all the other shearers have sheep dogs to help them, but not Shaun. His partner is Pete, a sheep- sheep! The other shearers in the shed are not happy with Shaun and his sheep-sheep. Following rejection by the shearers and their dogs, Shaun and Pete set up their own Shearing Salon in town where they are inundated with woolly clients, who delight in Shaun’s styling prowess.

This hilarious musical comedy, imaginatively told by four performers playing shearers, dogs and sheep, explores the challenges and rewards of being an individual!

From the award winning company that brought you The Bugalugs Bum Thief and Milli Jack and the Dancing Cat.

From the internationally acclaimed Sydney Dance Company comes an exuberant, high-octane fusion of dance, language, sound and light from artistic director Rafael Bonachela.

With their multi award-winning work 2 One Another, Sydney Dance Company weaves a vivid, exultant and sensual study of human interaction – charting the myriad actions and reactions, gestures and relationships, connections and disconnections that make up a life.

Set against a pulsing, pixelated backdrop the piece thrums with a driving, baroque-meets-electronica soundtrack, penned by the able hand of composer Nick Wales. Shot through with the exquisite poetry fragments of Samuel Webster, this is dance at its most engaging and multi-dimensional.

Featuring some of the best dancers in the country, 2 One Another is an exuberant celebration of the power of movement from a choreographer and a company at the height of their powers.

Would you please welcome to the stage... Andy and Terry!

Yes, that’s right. Andy Griffi ths’ and Terry Denton’s best-selling book, the one and only, super-famous, ultra-brilliant The 13-Storey Treehouse has been turned into an equally brilliant show for the theatre - and you’re invited!

Curtain up! Today's the day. There's just one problem. They forgot to write it! And where will they fi nd fl ying cats, a mermaid, a sea monster, an invasion of monkeys and a giant gorilla? Luckily the theatre has an extensive prop and costume collection and some very impressive stage technology.

Direct from its sell-out premiere season at the Sydney Opera House and adapted by Richard Tulloch (The Book of Everything, Bananas in Pyjamas), The 13-Storey Treehouse is brought to life by a seriously funny cast and magical moments of theatrical wizardry.

Just remember to “use your imagination”!

Friday 1 August, 2pm (schools matinee) & 7.30pmSaturday 2 August, 7.30pmVenue: The Cube theatre

Duration: 110 minutes (including interval)

Adult $26 | BREC Club $22 | Child $20

In bringing Mort to The Cube theatre, Naked Villainy Theatre treads where no local theatre group has trodden before in Bunbury. Adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs, some well-known inhabitants of the Discworld pop up in Mort, none less a personage than Death himself.

A giant 7ft puppet will bring to life one of the most beloved characters from Terry Pratchett's Discworld. Designed in collaboration with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, this anthropmorphic personifi cation will not be bound by earthly rules.

When Mort’s father takes him to a hiring fair, he is offered employment from a surprising quarter. His new employer, Death, has been feeling odd of late, and decides he needs a holiday. His new apprentice is his ticket to freedom. Mort travels to Death's domain to learn his trade. He meets Death's adopted daughter, Ysabell. It's not love at fi rst sight. Entrusted with his fi rst assignment, Mort allows sentiment to get in the way of a sharp

sword as he foils an assassination plot on Princess Keli, altering the course of history with hilarious consequences. Of course everything must be put back as it was, and with Death still exploring his ‘humanity’ it is up to Mort to fi x things.

The fi rst production by a local theatre group in The Cube, Mort enlists exciting young talent as well as seasoned actors in this clever satire for all ages.

Looking Through a Glass Onion

Duration: 150 minutes (including interval)

Adult $55 | BREC Club $53 | Concession $50

A homage to the music, mystery and memory of John Lennon and featuring John Waters and Stuart D’Arrietta, Looking Through a Glass Onion show is not a cut-and-paste biography of Lennon or an emulation of the original recordings.

On stage, with shadows from the lighting arrangement fl uttering over his face as he explores the essence of the man through song and spoken word, Waters becomes synonymous with Lennon. It’s part concert and part biography, though it doesn’t seek to tell the full story of Lennon’s life.

For the audience this is either an emotional trip down memory lane or a wonderful introduction to the life and times of one of the most fascinating icons of our time. With 31 songs performed including, to name a few, A Day in the Life,

Strawberry Fields Forever, Revolution, Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds, Woman, Jealous Guy, Imagine and more, this is a show all ages will enjoy.

Swamp Juice is the second production from acclaimed Canadian-born performer, Jeff Achtem.

Using bits of rubbish and household items, Jeff creates stories in shadow puppetry. All of the puppetry is performed in front of the screen, so the audience gets a peek at how each silhouette is made.

Swamp Juice is a simple story, told with no dialogue or text. A man explores a swamp, interacting with the characters that he fi nds: a pair of bickering snails, a mouse teasing a snake and bird feeding its chick. A chase begins, and the man and the bird tear about the theatre, leaping off the stage and into the venue. Looking up, the audience are immersed in the action and see Jeff's homemade shadows zip around on all the walls and the ceiling above.

Then, in a gripping DIY fi nale, each member of the audience is handed a pair of 3D glasses and the chase moves into 3D shadow puppetry. The audience jumps as jellyfi sh hang over their heads,
