Sport

Don’t forget the Sport Relief weekend of 21-23 March. Dave, our chef is leading a Coffee Stop marathon (26 stops). What are you doing?

In the last Bugle, we reported that Gosport Borough had to face the mighty North Feriby United, from the football stronghold that is Yorkshire, in the Quarter Final of the FA Trophy. Well we can report that not only did they return from God’s own county with a 2-1 victory, but they secured an aggregate victory over Havant & Waterlooville in the semi-final. They can now look forward to a trip to Wembley, which is the dream of any footballer. We would like to add our congratulations and best wishes for their date with Cambridge United on 23 March.

Weather

As the UK has endured it wettest months on record, it should be noted that March 22 is the UN’s “World Water Day”, where we are all encouraged not to use or taps throughout the whole day. Never mind the Ancient

Mariner, but “Water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink” has never seen so apt.

Crossword

When all else fails, why not try this month’s “cross word”:

Snagglefraggle.

Because nobody wants to snaggle their fraggle, or even fraggle their snaggle. May God protect yours, you’ll be cross if he doesn’t (or at least a little chaffed).

Cookery

At Breezes we know you can’t get enough of our desserts, but if you have a favourite, or a suggestion for a cake we haven’t yet made, do not hesitate to mention it to our Crew. Who knows, you could be helping make Breezes even better.

Celebrations at Breezescontinue in March includingSt. David’s and St. Patrick’s days. Come along for some Welsh and Irish specials.

Don’t miss out on the Breezes offer to make your pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. Let us know how many you want and we will have them ready for you totake home and reheat before serving. No more tossing, flipping or folding dilemmas. Your only decision is what costume to wear and what topping (the pancake, not you) to put on before serving.

We are still hoping for the photos though.

Lifestyle

The Eat Cake and Create Community have agreed to meet-up at Breezes and make us their base for their Wednesday gatherings, where Crafters and Beginners alike can join in to knit, crochet and other skills. If you are interested in starting a new hobby, or just to make

new friends, just tell one of our crew and we will connect you up.

So, February 14th, came and went (as did the rain, wind and a very high tide).

Our first Bistro evening was, we believe, a great success and the Breezes crew hope our guests enjoyed the evening as much as we did.

What’s next? Well we hope that you will choose us for Mother’s Day treats. If the normal daytime Breezesmenu isn’t special enough, she will love our traditional cream teas served after 2pm. Additionally, we are opening for a bistro evening on Saturday 29th. A variety of great ways to show and share your love for the Mum in your life. Book now to reserve a space and avoid disappointment.

As ever we are keen to support community initiatives and we are championing a “Coffee Stop Marathon” for Sport Relief. Cunningly choosing to stop at 26 coffee outlets, rather than trekking26 miles.
