Freedom in Christ Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the
truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) This 12-
week course by Dr. Neil Anderson uses vide-
os and discussion questions, and will enable
participants to:
Understand God’s creation, the Fall, and the Gospel in such a way that you can con-
nect with your heavenly Father and integrate the life of Jesus Christ into your daily
life;
Understand the nature of the spiritual battle for your mind and equip you to overcome
the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil;
Understand how mental strongholds are developed and how they can be torn down
through your relationship with Jesus Christ;
Be mentally and emotionally free from your past through the process of forgiving oth-
ers;
Resolve personal and spiritual conflicts through genuine repentance;
Live by faith in the power of the Holy Spirit in order to mature and bear fruit;
Relate to one another from the perspective of God’s grace; and
Get on the path of renewing your mind and conforming to the image of God
This study will begin on Sunday, September 9 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. (during Sunday
School hour). We ask that participants contribute $5 for the cost of the participant book,
but do not let the cost prevent you from joining this important program. Contact Dennis
Baker if you are interested in this group at 448-6550.

Back to School Block Party
Thanks to a lot of hard work, and gener-
ous donations, we were once again able to help a
number of families in our community by supplying the
school supplies needed to start the school year off
right. 112 kids from K-4th
were registered to receive
their school supplies from
us. That’s over 2,000 pen-
cils, 500 glue sticks, and
160 boxes of tissues (that’s
a lot of runny noses!).
This year we decided to change it up and hosted the first annual
Back to School Block Party on Saturday August 4th. Many of you came to either help with the festivities or brought your kids
or grandkids out to enjoy the fun. With Jumpies, clowns, face painting, games, food, and an awesome performance by Johnny Magic, fun was had by kids of all ages!
Thank you to all of those who donated either their time and/or money to help with this community outreach. Many lives in our community have been blessed because of your kindness! We are look- ing forward to next year and con-
tinuing in our mission to work together and strengthen our com-munity through Christ.
Rudy and Lynn Trissell counting pencils so
each student has the right amount...with
September Scalf cheering them on!
The organized chaos that overtook the ’Kid
City Theater’ room. With Bethany Long,
Kristen Weaver, and Candice Skinner.
We supplied
over 100 box-
es of crayons
and over 150
boxes of
markers to
area kids!
