General Manager Monthly Report
O
Membership Message
am happy to report that Membership has been a very busy department this past month! With our Guest Days, Pool Parties and other Special Events at our beautiful facilities, many people, both from Middle Georgia and elsewhere, highly desire to be a part of our Club. Based on many of the inquiries we have received, we have added a few new Membership options which I would like to tell you about. Social Members may add on a Practice Facility plan for $60 per month. This would allow unlimited use of the Driving Range as well as the Chipping and Putting Greens. Senior and Super Seniors may elect the
Silver Preview Membership, which is a 24 month commitment to monthly dues with NO INITIATION OR ANNUAL FEES.
These are in addition to our current Membership Options:
Gold Preview Membership: 36 month commitment to monthly dues; no annual or initiation fees. Annual Social Membership: 12 month commitment to monthly dues; annual fee applies. Annual Golf Membership: Full Membership with a 12 month commitment to monthly dues and an annual fee. Out of Town Membership: Full Membership available to those living outside a set parameter of local counties. Annual Corporate Membership: Annual fee applies for Corporation; no annual or initiation fees for each employee with 12 month commitment to dues. Junior Membership: For golfers age 12 to 20 with minimal monthly dues and a reduced Initiation Fee.
As a reminder, we currently have excellent Sponsorship Incentives as well. I am sure you will want to keep these in mind when you are considering Family, Friends or Colleagues that might be interested in learning more about Membership at the Brickyard at Riverside.
Sponsorship Incentives: -If a Member sponsors a Full Gold Preview Member, they receive a monthly $100 Food and Beverage credit for 12 months. For sponsor-ing any other Preview Membership, you receive $50 in above credit. These incentives are transferrable to the New Member, if desired. -If a Member sponsors a Full Silver Preview Member, they receive a monthly $50 Food and Beverage credit for 6 months. -If a Member sponsors 3 new Preview Members in 3 months, they may choose one of the following: 1 complimentary month of dues or 1 year of a Premier Wellness Center Membership.
Go ahead and get those referrals in for the Summer Membership Open House by contacting myself, Christina Raimo, at (478) 477-6765, Ext. 224 or by email to [email protected].
ur Club’s official summer season began with the opening of our SALT WATER pool and
youth summer camp and activities. Your hard-working team is dedicated, experienced and willing
to exceed in every way possible to continue offering you, your guests and family members with the
best service and a wide variety of activities. Please read our e-mails, newsletter, web site, and listen
to our weekly phone messages to take advantage of all the social, golf, and youth offered programs.
Christina Raimo, your Membership Services Coordinator, has made tremendous progress adding value into
our current membership services and as well an additional membership program for seniors and super seniors.
Our main initiative is to reinforce to our valued membership that we always require growth and replacement, which
is why we continue to ask each of you to provide Christina with names of friends who would enjoy the amenities
and services of the Brickyard.
Your entire Team Management is starting the planning process for Fiscal Year 2011/2012 goals, business
plan and budget. Each summer we meet to conduct a SFSWOT (successes, failures, strengths, weakness,
opportunities and threats) and formulate the Club’s Business Plan for October First, the start of the new Fiscal Year.
We must ensure that we know our members needs and wants to create initiatives which enhance membership enjoyment, raise the value of the membership, and attract new members. Please fell free to contact me at any time.
As always, I look forward to seeing you at The Brickyard.
I
Luis Pardal General Manager 2

See you around the club,
Nate Wickline Head Golf Professional
une is here and that means the warmer temperatures
are here to stay. The grass on the course is growing
great and keeping us busy. With the growth of the
grass, that means we will be starting some of our
routine maintenance practices. We will be aerifying the
greens on Tuesday, May 31, weather permitting. Once
we have finished the greens we will do the tees and
collars. We always have that question, “Why do we
aerify when everything is growing great?” The grass
needs to be growing well so that the aerification holes
will fill in quickly. Aerification helps the plants in the
long run by removing thatch, and allowing water and
nutrients to get to the roots.
We strive to keep the course in tournament
condition year round, so please let us know if there are
any issues out there that we might not see. Feel free to
contact me at [email protected], any
time and I will gladly answer any questions
or concerns that you might have.
See you on the course,
Briane Faletto, Golf Course Superintendent

Landscape Tip of the Month
For those of us who love Roses, but do not like all the
maintenance needed to keep them healthy, there is an
alternative for your garden. Knockout Roses have
become very popular over the last few years because of
the ease of maintaining them. They come in a
variety of colors from pink, to red, white, yellow, and
purple. They have Regular Knockouts and Double
Knockouts. Their color is brilliant and strong and I love
them in the Garden. I have Red Knockouts with yellow
Daylilies planted in front of them in my garden at
home. I never have to do anything to them except make
sure they have water and an occasional pruning. They
are very easy to maintain. If you are not sure what they
look like, I have planted some here at The Brickyard.
The bed next to the parking lot with the three Cherry
trees is full of Knockouts, and also in the bed along the
roadside. All of them are the Red Knockouts.
Golf Tip of the Month
ast month’s pop quiz question asked, “Are
worm casts a loose impediment that may be
removed?” Rule 23-1/1 (Means by which loose
impediments may be removed) states that yes, loose
impediments may be moved by any means, except
that, in removing loose impediments on the line of
putt, the player must not press anything down.
This month’s pop quiz question asked; “If an insect is
on your ball may you remove the insect using your
fingers or blowing on it?”
Best wishes,
Michael Kitchens Assistant Golf Professional
