Bridge Services
The design of bridge structures represents a mixture of sensitively integrated designs, ad-vanced technologies and experience. Wiecon provides full multidisciplinary engi-neering consultancy services that span all aspects of bridge engineering & construction. We have been involved in many bridge projects including precast segmental, full span erection, balanced cantilever, advance shoring, incre-mentally launched, cable stay, suspension and other specialized bridges covering range of ser-vices, namely preliminary studies, detailed de-sign, design of bridge construction equipment, all major temporary works as well the supervi-sion of the final stages of erection. Further services include Value Engineering (VE), a systematic process using a team from a variety of disciplines to improve the val-ue of a project through the analysis of its func-tions and also the maintenance and rehabilita-tion works on major bridges. Our team is characterised by their tech-nical competence combined with innovative en-gineering design and construction backgrounds giving them the flexibility to complete any task at hand. To every project we bring professional and technical staff resources with experience to provide creative, innovative and practical so-lutions to meet the technical and environmental challenges with the aim of ensuring that the de-livery of a project exceeds our clients’ expecta-tions.

LOGISTIC FACILITIES & SUPPORT CAPABILITIES For its normal commercial operations and for support of on-going projects, WIECON utilizes modern resources and operates a range of special facilities at its MAIN OFFICE IN TAIPEI. These include: - An extensive range of PC’s and appropriate job specific software - Computer-aided design and draughting (CAD) systems - Access to the Internet and electronic mail - Printing and publishing facilities. WIECON’s overseas assignments have involved setting up teams in the field (both large and small), in many cases in remote, isolated locations and occasionally in security-sensitive ar-eas. WIECON has long recognized the need for effective support of its field staff, both interna-tionally and within Taiwan, and has maintained the necessary resources and systems to al-low staff to operate confidently and effectively and to facilitate smooth progression of the project. Responsibility for the support of project teams in the field is vested in WIECON’s Managers and functional General Managers through whom all requests are processed. Each project maintains regular contact with home office management and is frequently visited by senior staff that provide advice, review progress and maintain contact with clients. Technical sup-port is available as required through WIECON’S specialist staff, home office facilities and resources.
WIECON also has arrangements with international experts to provide advice on unusual problems and situations or to review designs if required by the client. In addition, Wiecon keeps in front of the latest technology and has access to the research resources of many engineering organizations & associations worldwide.
