2. BRILLIANT Task 2.2 update: The nuclear fuel cycle simulator FANCSEE development
progresses. NCBJ-Swierk will prepare a benchmark description for first benchmarking of the
nuclear fuel cycle simulator.
3. BRILLIANT Task 2.3 update: All BRILIANT partners are encouraged to consider
cooperation possibilities for regional research infrastructure for nuclear fuel cycles and nuclear
waste storage, based on the preliminary infrastructure findings.
4. BRILLIANT WP4 update: a new member (Ms. Elizaveta Lebedeva) has joined the TARTU
WP4 team and was able to participate in the BRILLIANT Tallinn seminar. Her background
based on the “quantitative economics” curriculum is a welcome addition to support WP4
“Macroeconomic impact of nuclear programs.” Efforts will be undertaken to update Ms.
Lebedeva of the progress so far, so she could quickly and meaningfully contribute to the
progress of the project.
5. BRILLIANT WP6 update: The Coordinator provided participants preliminary information
about the January project review meeting in Brussels.

PART 4. DIVERSE
During the BRILLIANT internal meeting in Tallinn, part of the discussion was dedicated to efforts to
promote diversity in science, including encouragement of a balanced gender ratio. The BRILLIANT
consortium is working to contribute to these goals and has recently added Ms. Elizaveta Lebedeva to
support the TARTU WP4 team on the topic of macroeconomic impacts. Discussions are currently
underway as to the possibility of highlighting contributions from underrepresented groups during
future BRILLIANT events and seminars.
