NEW FUNCTIONS
Selecting Custom Preset Matrix
The Custom Preset Matrix function of HDC2000 is supported.
Paint > Matrix > Preset tab (See Figure 1.)

The function can be selected with the knob on the right edge. Custom Preset Matrix names from Customize1 to Customize5 are available.
Storing Custom Preset Matrix
The Custom Preset Matrix settings can be stored, adjusted, and transferred. To use the settings:
1. First enable the Custom Mtx Enable button as follows:
a. Set the unit to Engineer Mode. b. In the Config > RCP > Security > Item Permission menu,
set the Custom Mtx Enable button to ON. (See Figure 2.)

2. Select the File > Custom Matrix menu. (See Figure 3.)

CAM > MS Transfers a Custom Preset Matrix file from a camera to a Memory Stick Duo.
MS > CAM Transfers a Custom Preset Matrix file from a Memory Stick Duo to a camera.
File ID Sets a File ID in a Custom Preset Matrix file on a Memory Stick Duo.
Delete Deletes a Custom Preset Matrix file from a Memory Stick Duo.
Adjusting (Paint menu items) Enables saved items to be adjusted.

To store a Custom Preset Matrix:
a. In the Custom Matrix menu, press the Store button.b. Press the number of the Custom Preset Matrix to store.

a. In the Custom Matrix menu, press the Adjusting button.b. Adjust settings as appropriate. (See Figure 5.)

b. Press the appropriate button, depending on the function desired. (See Figure 6.)

TALLY IN from EXT-I/O Connector
A function is added to enable TALLY to be input from the pin of the EXT-I/O connector.
EXT-I/O (D-sub 9-pin) PIN assignments
• The interface pins 5, 6, and 7 are activated by shorting pin 9 (GND).
• When pin 5 (Tally Enable) is LOW, pin 6 (R Tally IN) and pin 7 (G Tally IN) become enabled.
• When pin 5 (Tally Enable) is OPEN (H), pin 7 becomes Preview IN and pin 6 does not function.
• There is no priority between R Tally IN and G Tally IN and the two assignments can be operated independently of each other.
NOTE: This function is not available for multi-camera network systems or systems used with CNU.
HFR CTRL OFF Function
HFR CTRL OFF is added to Switch Assign items.
When operating a camera with a high frame rate and connected with HDFA-200, select RCP or another exclusive controller as the controlling device for the camera.

Specification for Panel Active Mode
The specification for Panel Active mode is changed so that the setting for Toggle/Self-Lock can be set independently for Panel Active and Iris/MB Active modes.

PROGRAM IMPROVEMENTS
• If the communication load in the camera network system is heavy when using HZC-CSM10, panel communication is no longer disconnected for several seconds.
• In systems using HZC-3DRCP, separate RCP numbers can be set for both 3D and 2D modes.

FIRMWARE UPDATE
Preparation
1. Copy firmware files to the following folder of a memory stick: \MSSONY\PRO\CAMERA\RCP15XX
2. Insert the memory stick in the memory stick slot of the unit.
Main Update
1. Display the RCP Config menu in service mode. (See Figure 8.)

3. Press Main Update to display the confirmation screen. (See Figure 10.)

4. Press Start to update the main program.
NOTE: The Loader Section and Main Section of the main block are updated. The Loader Section is updated first. The screen is cleared when the progress bar reaches 100%, and then the Main Section is updated. (See Figure 11.)

5. When the update is completed successfully, the Completed message appears. Press OK to restart the unit. (See Figure 12.)

Boot Update
From the RCP Config menu, press Information > Version, and confirm the firmware version of boot. Upgrade to V1.01 if necessary as follows:
1. Display the RCP Config menu in service mode. (See Figure 13.)

Subsystem Update
From the RCP Config menu, press Information > Version, and confirm the firmware version of SUBSYS. Upgrade to V2.01 if necessary as follows:
1. Display the RCP Config menu in service mode. (See Figure 18.)

3. Press Subsys Update to display the confirmation screen. (See Figure 20.)

4. Press Start to update subsystem firmware.
NOTE: The illuminated switches, LEDs, and LCD are turned off during the Subsys Update, and the Memory Stick indicator displays the progress. The indicator blinks green and red during the update, and goes out upon completion of the update. After the internal data has been updated, the unit restarts automatically. DO NOT turn off power until the unit has restarted.

From the RCP Config menu, press Information > Version, and confirm that firmware is as follows:
