The 130 Series Boring Mills streamline large work machining. Thegenerous work envelope and straightforward design provide for efficientwork fixturing. Machine system component layout assures optimumoperator convenience and safety.

The 130 Series is equipped withmany standard features that truly make thesemachines the choice for maximum return oninvestment. The X-axis table is of a single piececasting, providing the accuracy and stability of afully supported cast iron base. The 5-axissimultaneous control expands the 130 Seriesmachining versatility.

Maximum accuracy and tough prolonged cuttingrequires rigid and heavy duty construction. That'swhy 130 Series Boring Mills are manufactured withheavy, high-quality cast iron throughout. The 130Series B-Axis is fully supported by a worm and wheelconstruction with scale feedback. Large work tableswith 7 T-slots simplify work fixturing. Peak accuracy is achieved by combiningsuperior mechanical design, thermalcompensation, and scales on all axis. B-Axis fully supported by a worm andwheel construction with scale feedback.

Extra-wide solid boxwayseasily support large heavy work.Oversize ballscrews are employedon all linear axes - X, Y, Z & W. Allballscrews are precision groundand finished to deliver consistentprecise positioning even under themost demanding machiningconditions. All are fully supportedat both ends and double anchoredfor stability and consistentreliability. Scale feedback on X, Y, Z& B axes is standard.

All boxways are ultra-precision finished using SNK's 40year proven "Mirror Surface Finish"machining technology.

130 SERIESDesigned for Precision and Power

The 130 Series spindles ride on a massive columnassembly on hardened and ground 'mirror surface' waysthat provide maximum rigidity even under prolongedheavy-duty cutting. This assembly delivers high powerand exceptional cutting torque. The 5.1" boring spindletravels within the 8" milling spindle to provide a full27.5" stroke. The AC 35 HP spindle motor has low,medium and high range (5~2,500 rpm) and generates2,795 ft �lbs of torque, with an option available for 3500 rpm with AC 60 HP and 3,033 ft�lbs of torque.Incorporated W-axis thermal growth compensationprovides optimum accuracy. 5 strategically positionedsensors on the spindle casting and bearings constantlymonitor temperature and make changes in the W-axisdown to micron levels.

130 Series Boring Mills are equipped with provenFanuc control and motor technology. For ease ofoperation the control is pendant mounted. The CNCprovides a simultaneous 5-axis control. Standardautomation software simplifies a wide range of boringmill tasks. Fanuc's Manual Guide Function in additionto other standard features is also included.

The standard ATC Systemprovides a generous 60 toolcapacity. 90 & 120 tool ATCs areavailable if additional capacity isrequired. The standard PneumaticFoot-pedal frees the operator'shands for faster, safer tool loadingand unloading. A reliable, high-efficiency tool change mechanismminimizes machine idle time.Available fully enclosed splashguard promotes shop cleanlinessand operator safety.

A micro-filtration and chipconveyor system provides efficientchip evacuation. Skimmer, chipcovers and splash guards keep waysand drive components clear of chips.
