AeroGrid s.c.a.r.l is a consortium composed by five companies operating in the aeronautic and space sector. The mission of consortium is to provide high quality products and services that consistently meet or exceed the standards and requirements of our Customers. RAV AEROSPACE srl has a long experience in manufacturing various particulars in carbon and glass fibre for aerospace, naval, energetic and

automotive industry. The company was founded in 1995 by Luigi Renna, who put all his 30 years experience in the composite production to create

RAV srl. The result of determination, passion and strong will to could offer the best quality and prices for his clients is a dynamic, modern and

customers oriented company where is well understand the importance of the highly experienced work of dedicated team of specialist is fully un-

derstood and valued. All production process of the prepreg parts take a place in a three Clean Rooms (650 squere meters) located in tho busi-

ness units situated in Brindisi. In RAV srl we focus on the production of complex CFRP sections and extremely light-weight multidimensional san-

dwich structures. We combinue the innovate dynamics of a medium-sized enterprise with a strong customer orientation with regard to on-time

delivery and quality. The close involvement in long-term procurment programmes of the aircraft industry provides a firm foundation for our future

developmemnt. For us, as on owner-manged company, the adeguate and continuous development for our resources accordino to the state- of-the

art technologies goes without saying. This is the basis for our stability and growth.The RAV srl quality management sysytem meets the requir-

ments of the aircraft industy and is certified accordino to AS 9100 and EN 9001. Our daily work is based on this system confirmed by many suc-

cessful customers audits. Due to state- of- art production facilities, several autoclaves and the la test 5 axas CNC machining technology we are

able to produce even the most demandino components. All material and product flows are monitored and controlled by an ERP system tailored to

our needs. The components and devices are developed by our Engineering Department office using CATIA V5. The RAV srl is favorably located

in the Abulia region, where for many years is a strong connection with a aerospace, naval and energetic industry. Our proximity to the University

of Salento and Research Citadel and our proven collaboration with The National Institute of Nuclear Physis (INFN) allows us to provide our custo-

mers innovate and quick solutions.

OMA Arseni was founded in 1995 with the aim to realize the experience gained by management in aeronautics, dating back to 1969. Initially company based its activities on building equipment for the aeronautics sector project design/drawing by the customers. For achieving them, it was considered appropriate to use the same procedures required for the implementation of parts of pro-duction aircraft: work orders, technical sheet, records for traceability, etc.). The company policy oriented reinvestment of proceeds, and the contribution of different economic resources, has allowed the purchase in 1997 of the first CNC machine tools (milling machines, lathes), sufficient to achieve structural parts for aircraft. In support of CNC machining centers, the Organization has adopted CAD / CAM software to create a 3D models to generate the part-programs required at the use of such machines, including 5-axis machining centers. Years later, the organization is highly evolved to be made in complete autonomy all the structural parts with special processes and treatments. The processes, such as non destructive testing, heat treatment and protective treatments are managed by companies certified by the customer and by OMA Arseni, ensuring the highest level of traceability. An important detail is the experience of the Organization, the ability to work materials difficult to machine, such as Inconel 718, Nymonic, Titanium alloys, etc.. In order to provide a wider service, in early 2009, the Organization has purchase a coordinate measuring machine, Zeiss with MASS technology, ACCURA model with CALYPSO software installed and interfaced with CATIA V5 R19 software, in order to use the same 3D model for CAD-CAM-Control process. The working area of Zeiss is 2400x1200x1000. The main customers are part of the Finmeccanica Group, but there are collaborations with other companies, operating in the aviation industry. OMA Arseni conduct its activities on many projects, including: AW109 - AW109 GRAND SP - EH101 - HH3F - SH3D - AB412 - AW129 Mangusta - AW139 - NH90 - A380 - SKY-X - B787. ACTIVITIES Ability to design and construction:

PRODUCTION DIVISION OMA Arseni has implemented a policy of investment over the years for the purchase of high-tech machines that fulfill cus-tomer requirements and ensure competitiveness in the sector. The company has 11 machine centers, including one 5-axis machine, two CNC lathes machines and various traditional ma-chines for the preparation steps. The machine park enables the company to work on particular small-size, medium-size and large-size parts, also of considerable complexity. The production division occupy 1100 square meters, divided into a warehouse tools and materials, material preparation area, CNC production area, testing room, metrology room. OMA Arseni specializes in precision machining of parts on technologically materials. The company also manufactures equipment, tools for assembly, as-semblies, mechanical assembly, forming tools, bonding tools, machined parts. To carry out its activities, OMA Arseni requires as input at the client only paper drawings or 3D mathematical model. With suitable CAD/CAM software the technical office de-velops the complete industrialization of the product in the following stages: creation of mathematical models, study and con-struction of equipment, development of work cycles and work orders, processing of the CNC part program. OMA Arseni is qualified by the customer for the supply of complete product: machining, management of suppliers for heat treatments, non destructive testing and protective treatments. Metrology room is a controlled environment by monitoring and continuous recording of temperature and humidity.

CMC srl established in 1981, operates mostly in the aeronautics sector which remain today its core business. Extended on a 22.000 m2 headquarter landscape area, it includes a 2500m2 production area, a 200m2 storage area and 1200m2 of offices and laboratories space. CMC srl is divided into two business units: CMC Aerospace and CMC Labs.

CMC Labs operates as microelectronics and integrated Microsystems enabler for customers in the defense, aerospace, indus-trial and commercial markets. It provides a completely virtualized final package solution, spanning from system definition to design, production, packaging, testing, shipment and customer support with its fild application engineers (FAEs). CMC Labs strives to create superior products in the area of system integration/miniaturization (from painted circuit boards to System-in-Package or System-on-Chip/ASICs) for applications such as HUMS, power management and energy harvesting, em-bedded/wireless system (also with microprocessors and microcontrollers of FPGA), sensors and unattended ground sensors (UGS). In the first field of applications, we are pre-demoing CMC1010 which is an innovative self-biased wireless health monitoring solutions for predictive maintenance and live structural sensing (HUMS). CMC srl is certified by AgustaWestland, AVIO Group and it is EN ISO 9100:2009 and EN 9001:2008 certified. CMC srl R&D projects are driven by top-rank local and international universities and research labs to create a vision of excel-lence and industrially superior products. CMC Aerospace R&D initiatives are focused on engineering the assembly of structures and production phases (faster time-to-market while decreasing costs and increasing quality and repeatability), metal sheet forming techniques and new material and tools. CMC Labs R&D initiatives are focused on energy harvesting/scavenging technologies, wireless sensors network, very low power integrated microsystems, microchips and sensors’ design (also MEMS). Technologycom s.r.l. is an italian private company which was born thanks to the idea of local investors who decided to enter the growing market of the FRPC (Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites), specifically the field of prepregs made with thermoset matrices, after deep investigation. In a second phase, the project was presented, approved, and supported by the Region of Puglia in accordance with the Frame Program of P.O.R. 2000-2006, degree 4.18. In 2004, the idea of the investors was extended to the creation of a Consortium named Skytech, which consists of the compa-nies Technologycom and I.A.S. (International Aviation Supply), in order to obtain marketing and production synergies be-tween the two Small-Medium-Companies located in Brindisi. It was established with the ambition to integrate the regional territory, where important Aerospace Firms are located, with many production lines of Advanced Composite Materials. The Plant covers an area of 10.000 m2: 3.000 m2 are dedicated to the production activities; 500 m2 are employed for offices and services. Technologycom is certified UNI EN ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System and EN/AS 9100-2005 Aero-space Quality Standards. Internal procedures and Information Technology guarantee constant quality and traceability of the obtained products. Products The list of obtainable products includes:

• Standard Epoxy prepregs, such as unidirectional or woven configuration carbon, glass, aramide reinforcements – 120°C (250°F) curing temperature, low pressure, for a wide variety of industrial applications.

• Toughened Epoxy prepregs, available in UD or fabric – low temperature curing – 120°C (250°F) system, low pressure – Out of Autoclave process.

• High Tg Epoxy system, 175°C curing temperature (350°F), for thermal stressed components, in carbon, glass and various reinforcement.

• Low temperature (120°C) curing epoxy adhesive film, for sandwiches structures. • Impregnated aluminum or copper mesh, for lightning protection. • Multifunctional Epoxy Tooling system for 180°C curing temperature. • CE/EP Blend for Interiors application. • Aerospace grade self-extinguishing prepreg (FAR 25.853).

R&D – Q/C LABORATORY

Technologycom is able to perform R&D activities, with the support of specific chemistry and high experienced professionals.

“Tailored” prepregs can be developed, after careful evaluation of particular needs and their requirements. University and Na-

tional R&D Centers are involved into any R&D activities focused on innovative composite materials. The Q/C Laboratory is

equipped with thermal analyzers-DMA, DSC, TGA, Rheometer, Mechanical Testing MTS Insight, Lab-press, which permit the

characterization and qualification of the materials, for any field of application.

The dimensional inspection represents an increasingly exacting challenge, both owing to the high instrument technology and to the human resources involved. In this context AXIST intends to be not only a "service provider", but a real "partner", able to design and manage dimensional inspection activities with precision, directly at customers’ works, at the same time processing and reporting data in rapid, de-

tailed and transparent way.

AXIST srl pays great attention to flexible testing requirements, becoming part of production processes in order to improve the final product quality, to reduce wastes and production costs. Measuring is the profession of AXIST, to help companies in mak-ing use of practicable and concrete instruments, which will prove to be valid supports to face up to, and to win, the new and demanding market’s challenges. AXIST srl is the Italian exclusive dealer of the Spatial Analyzer software made by New River Kinematics.

AXIST is aware that each Customer has its own needs, that any dimensional survey requires the right instruments to be prop-
